Scott Bennett was the salesperson my husband saw when he came into the showroom. He explained to Scott that because I do not like dealing with car salesmen and coming into dealerships, he (Dan) was doing th came into the showroom. He explained to Scott that because I do not like dealing with car salesmen and coming into dealerships, he (Dan) was doing the legwork and he would share the info with me. I had already driven a friend's 2014 Forester, and knew that I liked it. Dan told Scott what I was interested in (options) and Scott also gave him a very good idea of the trade-in value of my Legacy. Scott was very prompt in communicating with me by email, and always very courteous. When we came together (the three of us) on Saturday morning, and after test-driving the Limited Forester that I subsequently purchased, Scott explained the price differences in the options that were included on the Limited, but not on the Premium I initially was interested in, and what the cost would be to add them to a Premium edition. So we felt confident in going ahead and deciding on the Limited. He respected my reticence in being there, and patiently answered all of my questions. Scott went over all the details when we actually came to drive the car away later on in the afternoon. As an extra personal touch, he had printed out a sign for the front window of my new Forester that listed my name as the new owner, but he also listed my nickname (Tinkerbell)! That was sweet. Rich Barron was friendly and competent, and listened to what we wanted as terms for the loan. I was amazed at what he could accomplish in a short time on a Saturday! Scott and Rich took the "pain" out of being at a car dealership for much of the day, and though it was a business transaction (which they genuinely appeared to value), they brought the fun and excitement to the whole experience...which is how it should be when purchasing a new car! After being disappointed at the Legacy models and pricing offered by my local dealers in Nashville, I found the exact model I wanted at a great price at Ganley Subaru East. I exchanged a few emails with Mike Kaminski in internet sales, we agreed upon a price, and I gave a deposit. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the 500 mile journey to Ganley to get my new car for three weeks. Mike was very patient and assured me that my car was off of the lot and in an unused building waiting for me to take delivery. I made my travel arrangements and Mike even picked me up at my hotel and took me to the dealership. As promised, the car was ready to go when I arrived, and the paperwork took a minimum amount of time. Just as I was getting ready to leave, I noticed a scratch in the paint. When it couldn't be buffed out, Mike offered to have the body shop touch it up for me, but I was eager to get on the road as I had a long trip home. As an alternative, Mike had a bottle of touch up paint sent to me. Great service from start to finish, and definitely worth the trip to buy from Ganley. More
I brought the car in because it seemed the transmission was taking to long to switch from Reverse to Drive.
