Undecided on my experience My first contact with the dealership was good, I found the vehicle I was interested on the Internet and talked to a sales person. We discussed the fea My first contact with the dealership was good, I found the vehicle I was interested on the Internet and talked to a sales person. We discussed the features we were interested in and was assured the car had them (i.e.. rain sensing wipers). During the test drive we questioned if the car was equipped with the rain sensing wipers and told yes. After reading the owners after purchase and inquiring with the dealership on this matter we were told this car does not come with rain sensing wipers, sorry. This car also has a DEF system and we were never told anything about this, the owners manual is vague and when inquiring with auto parts stores they do not know what we are talking about. We still do not know where to purchase this or how often it needs to be added. More

We Would Buy a Car from the Again It is hard to imagine buying a car as being fun but that is what we experienced when purchasing our 2015 Subaru Forester from Dennis and Janet at Ganl It is hard to imagine buying a car as being fun but that is what we experienced when purchasing our 2015 Subaru Forester from Dennis and Janet at Ganley Subaru of Bedford. When we were quickly greeted when we entered the dealership and after a short talk with Dennis about what we were looking for in a car we went for a test drive with Janet. She spent a great deal of time explaining the features and instruments of the car, especially the safety features. After returning to the showroom Dennis gave us a competitive trade-in allowance for our old car and clearly explained the price of the Forester, which was also a fair price based on our research on the Internet. When we picked up the car Janet again spent time with us on the features of the car and we were also introduced to the service personnel at Ganley Subaru. Janet also called our insurance company to make sure they had all the information necessary to change our coverage. Both Dennis and Janet were more concerned that we understood the quality and safety features of the car than making a sales. We never felt pressured to buy the car which is something we have experienced in past purchases. More

He is knowledgeable, experienced and a lot of fun to work with. I have purchased 2 VWs from him and I just purchased a Subaru Outback. Love how personal he is, even contacted me the day after I purchased my car to see how I liked it and to see if I had any questions! More
Unless you're there for warranty-related service (i.e. free service), I would take your car somewhere else. While the staff are generally polite, their competence leaves a lot to be desired. I've taken my car here for over 2.5 years, mainly because it's the only Subaru shop in town. It's more expensive than your average corner mechanic, but I figured it's worth it for the technicians' specialized knowledge about my car. Plus, it has all the perks of any dealership shop: a comfortable lounge with desks and wifi, a snack bar, free coffee, and complimentary loaner cars and shuttle service to get you on your way while your car is be worked on. But of all the numerous times I've taken my car there (probably once every three months or so), I can count on one hand the times that they HAVEN'T somehow screwed something up. It's been anything from overcharging me (multiple times I was charged for parts put onto another customer's car and had to fight them about it--parts that don't even fit my model!), to breaking/losing another part of my car while doing some kind of repair (and lying about it), to misdiagnosing issues with the car, and they even lost my car keys one time when I came to pick it up--I had to wait for a week without my car while they looked for them, can you believe that?? And all I got was a "sorry about that." Another time, they told me my entire exhaust system would need to be replaced due to a rattling noise coming from the muffler, and they recommended I take it to Bubba's up the road to get the work done and save some money. After wasting 5 hours of my life waiting at Bubba's (which, by the way, is great shop, but it is first-come first served so there is often a line), I found out that there in fact was no issue with the system, and instead a Subaru technician HAD LEFT A TOOL SITTING ON TOP OF THE MUFFLER the last time they worked on my car and that's what was causing the noise. When I took the tool back to the dealership and politely expressed my frustration, I didn't even get a "sorry" this time. There are numerous other examples of them telling me I need some big expensive work done on the car, but each time I've taken it elsewhere for a second opinion, I've been told the opposite it true. I seldom leave without the sinking feeling that I just got screwed. Worse, every time I go there, it seems like they have a completely new staff in the service department, so I can't even feel like I've built a relationship with the technicians because I don't see the same one twice. Considering that Ganley charges customers nearly double for repair work that could otherwise be done at an independent or franchise shop, I'm very dissatisfied. You're better off going elsewhere if you want a professional, reasonably priced, and hassle-free experience. More

Only one of the two cars we arranged to see was available. 2. There was no flexibility shown on the listed price of the vehicle, despite a better deal in the Cleveland area (Adventure Subaru) on the same model and trim of the car BY MORE THAN $1,200; the Sales Manager indicated that being a distant #2 on that make/model in the immediate area was just fine by him. No counter-offer was even made in light of the admittedly better deal and we were given no reason not to pursue a vehicle elsewhere. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Updated 1/30/14 I promptly received a response to my original review and the dealership sought to make a different impression on my wife and I. Although still relatively firm on their pricing, everyone we worked with was extremely polite and management was straightforward in negotiating the purchase, trade, and loan rate. We now drive a car from Ganley Subaru of Bedford, a dealership that strives to make a great impression (even if it happens to be the second time around). More
