GAP insurance fraud Purchased a new 2016 Kia Rio. At time pf purchase, I also purchased GAP insurance for my new car. A year and 1/2 later, the car was hit by a semi truc Purchased a new 2016 Kia Rio. At time pf purchase, I also purchased GAP insurance for my new car. A year and 1/2 later, the car was hit by a semi truck and was a total loss. The insurance company of the at fault driver was quick to pay the current book value of the car. The rest was supposed to be covered by GAP insurance. What followed was 5 months of jumping through hoops followed by lies & excuses from the GAP insurance co & the dealership. After following all the instructions and sending all necessary required paperwork, my GAP claim is now denied and the GAP insurance sent a letter stating that they did not recieve paperwork that was sent to them multiple times within the 90 day limit so they now have declared themselves and the dealer relieved of is obligations in a blatant attempt to deny payment of a legitimate claim. This dealer sells bogus insurance policies and is not to be trusted. Warning, do no buy a car from them and if you do, make sure it is not a new car that requires GAP insurance. Horribly dishonest people. Lawsuit in this case is filed & pending. More
Poor relations with customers I purchased a 2018 Kia Sorentlo AWD on May 11, 2018 from Boardman Kia. I attempted to trade it in to this dealership about 2 weeks later. I was told I purchased a 2018 Kia Sorentlo AWD on May 11, 2018 from Boardman Kia. I attempted to trade it in to this dealership about 2 weeks later. I was told vehicle depreciated $7,500. On September 19, 2018, I attempted to trade it in at Taylor Toyota in Hermitage Pa. for a new 4x4 Tacona. I was told my Sorento has now depreciated $13.000. Quite disappointed. Last time I will deal with your brand I will start a campaign on-line warning people how poorly Kia’s hold their value. Not a great way to treat a customer. Both sakes managers on Boardman and Hermitage were unreceptive and somewhat arrogant in their approach to this problem. More

Aggressive, pushy sales. Warranties are not honored. I will never buy another Kia again. I've had nothing but problems. The sales was aggressive, pushy, and overpriced. I have completed all oil changes and other periodic maintenance items, but the engine gave out at just under 100,000 miles. I had a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty and Taylor Kia fought me every step of the way when I tried to get my engine fixed under the warranty. Buyer beware, these positive reviews are very misleading.
