We got exactly the vehicle we were looking for at a great price. We only bought used because it the CRV had very low milage and the price was great. Can't wait until we can see Tiffany again to buy another price. We only bought used because it the CRV had very low milage and the price was great. My old car decided to finally die on me a little less than a year ago and Tiffany said that I should check out where she works. So, I went there and she told me about the cars and I test drove a couple d than a year ago and Tiffany said that I should check out where she works. So, I went there and she told me about the cars and I test drove a couple different ones but my favorite one was the civic and she said she can get me a deal of I buy one right off the lot. So, a few days later after looking at a couple more places I went back and bought my car. More
The business development guy gave me some "numbers" over the phone. When I went in and started working through the deal I came to find the numbers over the phone were, well, less than 100%. The guy on the p the phone. When I went in and started working through the deal I came to find the numbers over the phone were, well, less than 100%. The guy on the phone wasn't even a sales guy. His job was just to get people in the door. Once I walked in no one really greeted me. I had meander around for 5 minutes looking for the guy I spoke with. I was handed off to a sales guy and had to go through the whole conversation all over again - HUGE time waster. Then (get this), the sales guy wanted to call my bank to get my financial numbers before he was willing to give me an offer. I told him to give me the offer, then I'd share my numbers. Turns out - after all that - they gave me an insulting trade-in value even after I told them what I expected. So - I called another dealer from Ganley's showroom, and got a $1500 higher trade in value over the phone. As far as I'm concerned Ganley uses old sales techniques, trys to prey on ignorant shoppers, and isn't really interested in establishing real relationships. More
My wife and I had a woderful experience buying our 2010 CR-V EX-L! Our salesman Tim N. couldn't have been any nicer! Between him and Mike (finance) and the GM (I think his name was Ron), we felt like famil CR-V EX-L! Our salesman Tim N. couldn't have been any nicer! I went to Ganley on September 4, 2009 to purchase a vehicle. My credit is bad and I told the salesperson from the beginning. He said they should be able to help me. I had already researched their veh vehicle. My credit is bad and I told the salesperson from the beginning. He said they should be able to help me. I had already researched their vehicles online and I already knew the vehicle I wanted to purchase. I told the salesperson I had a downpayment plus a trade-in. I was there on a Friday evening about 4:30pm...I was told it was too late to contact any banks, but to leave a deposit and that would hold the vehicle for me. I gave him a check for $250.00. I then spoke with the finance manager and he told me he would be able to get me a payment for under $300.00 as the car was a used vehicle and I refused to pay over that amount. He told me to get a copy of a utility bill, 3 references, etc. and to either fax or email him the information the following day, which was a Saturday, so he could send my application to the different banks they work with, he said the banks were open on Saturdays until like 1pm. I emailed my paperwork around 11:30am and I waited...and waited....about 2pm I decided to call the salesperson at the dealership who at that time told me that they weren't able to submit my application because the banks were closed. I was a bit upset that no one bothered to call me though they had told me the banks were open till like 1pm and I waited around for nothing. I e-mailed the finance manager and let him know how I was feeling and if they could please contact me on Tuesday (it was Labor Day weekend) when they heard anything. I never got a response to my e-mail and I never heard a thing from neither the salesperson or the finance manager. So, on Saturday, September 12th, I decided to go get my $250.00 deposit back since apparently I wasn't getting the vehicle. Yet I was told that I could not get my $250.00 deposit back because it had not been 10 banking days due to the the holiday weekend....I was upset, and I told the salesperson how I got no response from him or the finance manager, therefore I wanted my money back. He assured me that if I came back Thursday, September 17th, that would be 10 banking days and they would cut me a check for my $250.00 deposit. On Thursday, September 17th, I once again returned to the dealership and was directed to the Cashier, who knew nothing about a refund and contacted the salesperson. The Cashier asked the salesperson if he had put a requisition in for my refund check and he stated that he had. They had me wait in the waiting room and the salesguy went to talk to whoever he needed to talk to to get my refund check. When I was last at the dealership on the 12th, I told the salesguy that I was leaving on vacation on Friday the 18th, so I needed that money....he reassured me it would be ready, so of course I am expecting to just go to the dealership and just pick up my check. Yet that was not the case, and after waiting about 15 minutes, the salesperson comes back and tells me that they cannot cut me a refund check unless I can provide proof that my original check to them had cleared. He tells me that if I have an online account for my checking, I can show him proof of the check clearing. At this point I am very upset and I tell him I'm not providing him access to my checking. I told him "I thought that was the point of waiting 10 banking days to make sure the check had cleared." The salesperson went back and talked to someone (at this point I am assuming it's the finance manager) and came back and told me that unless I went online and provided them proof of the check clearing, they would not cut me a check. I am really upset that I am being forced to share my checking information to someone as a result of their failure to deposit my check in a timely matter. Finally, knowing that I was at their mercy, I relented. I must admit I was very emotional and loud, but I never cursed at anyone. So, the salesperson takes me his desk in the middle of the sales floor to pull up my confidential checking account to provide them proof. They ask me to print it out....so I print it out and the salesperson brings me the printout, and at this point I am still complaining, extremely upset about having to do this, and then the finance manager whose office is like 10 ft away comes out and tells me I need to leave because he hears me yelling. I tell him that as soon as I get my money I will leave, he tells me that as soon as they determine the check cleared they will cut me a check. I told him of course the check cleared, he then said "are you sure it cleared or did it bounce?" Mind you, all of this is going on in the public eye, in the middle of the salesfloor. I did get my refund check and I left. So, I don't need help getting my money, but I do feel like my confidentiality was violated, I feel like I was mistreated, including discriminated upon. They made me feel like a criminal or something, having to provide proof of my check clearing...I never heard of such a thing! I will pursue this with other agencies because the fact that I had to access my confidential information in public and was then humiliated in public, should be investigated. I am a law abiding, tax paying citizen. I am a mature woman over 50, there is no good reason to treat me the way I was treated at that dealership. Not sure if you are the agency to report this to, but I will continue to look for others. Thank you. More
From the very beginning they try to pressurize you from selecting a particular car on their lot and force you to place a down payment for the car. They dont even give enough information about the car befor selecting a particular car on their lot and force you to place a down payment for the car. They dont even give enough information about the car before they ask to put a down payment. Immediately after that they start giving you deadlines about when you should buy the car. They were rude and persistent and give you the impression that they are doing you a favor by selling the car to you. Then they told me that I the car that I apparently had reserved had been sold and that they wanted to negotiate another deal. I gave up and asked for a refund. And they took over 2 months and dozens of phone calls to get the refund.Overall a dreadful experience. Dont ever fall into the trap of giving in to the trap of reserving a car.Better still steer away from them. More
After a stressful Sunday, 9 hours later we decided to lease a 2008 ex-l crv with navigation. They refused to include fog lights in our purchase, so i was promised a good deal on fog lights for $500. So lease a 2008 ex-l crv with navigation. They refused to include fog lights in our purchase, so i was promised a good deal on fog lights for $500. So that Saturday, I was promised a 2 hour installation of the fog lights and after 4 hours, the service department then had me pay for the fog lights. After the transaction was completed, they said " oh by the way, we are ordering you a new grill, some scratches occured while the installation happened." He then walked away, I was freaking pissed, the car isn't even a week old and damage already by a honda certified mechanic !?! xxx !!!! After we drove away, we pulled over and wanted to take a closer look, my wife then noticed our front bumper was scratched to xxxx, tire-well was not installed properly, paint was showing through the tire well coating, screws were missing, so tire-well wasn't secure, there were gaps from where the bumper and fender meet, not attached to eachother and the fog light was scratched to xxxx! UGH!!! I can't even go on anymore, and this dealership isn't close to me either, so the gas it's going to take to fix this xx that they did is soo aggrivating it's beyond repairable, this whole situation took the fun out of our new car buying experience! blah to ganley! questions? opus182@cox.net More
Very poor customer service with women. Very rude to elderly female. Waited over 5 hours to lease/buy a car. Manager tried to (swap) or give another car other than the one we were leasing, not even s elderly female. Waited over 5 hours to lease/buy a car. Manager tried to (swap) or give another car other than the one we were leasing, not even same color! Manager changed prices and deals with us. Said, "Well do you or don't you want it!" Ganley is the most unprofessional car dealership I have ever dealt with. 2 years ago we bought a Ford Explorer that had the wrong size tires on it. The tires messed up everything on the car including the ever dealt with. 2 years ago we bought a Ford Explorer that had the wrong size tires on it. The tires messed up everything on the car including the all wheel drive then in turn the transmission. After many calls and threatening a law suit they finally coughed up new tires and under MY extended warranty fixed the current issue but the damage was done and 7 months later the transmission blew while I was driving around with my baby. Unfortunatley we brought the car back feeling like our hands were tied and bought a new vehicle, their gift to us was taking the piece of ---- car as a trade in........we won't even get in to that pack of lies either. On the brand new vehicle we needed weatherstripping and we went to get it replaced 3 hours later they told us it was wrong part. When scheduling the 2nd app. I ASKED THEM TO CHECK TO SEE IF IT WAS THE RTGHT PART. I was told they couldn't bacause they would need the car. DIDN'T I BUY THE CAR THERE...... ARENT THERE OTHER ASCENDERS THERE TO USE. It just proves how lazy, unprofessional, and un concerned with customer's needs Ganley really is I wouldn't send my enemies to any dealership TOM GANLEY owned. It is a shame he doesn't care that he staffs incompetant people @ what seems to be most of his dealerships. R.N cleveland ohio More
This was the second time I dealt with Ganley Honda. The first experience was pretty painless but the car got totalled in under a year. Went back and purchased another vehicle from them. This time I bought first experience was pretty painless but the car got totalled in under a year. Went back and purchased another vehicle from them. This time I bought what was promoted to me as a 'bumper to bumper' warranty. I asked about a million questions, was even shown where it was listed on the warranty before signing. That was until something actually needed service. I bought a Ford from them but was told their Honda warranty still covered non-Honda vehicles. DON'T TRUST THEM. First of all, took my car to their shop and they said they couldn't fix it except a small time window M-F because it was a non Honda vehicle. THEY SOLD ME THE WARRANTY!!!! BUT CANNOT FIX THEM IN THEIR OWN SHOP! I was livid! Then...I was forced to take it to a Ford dealership which had to fight tooth and nail with Honda to pony up the dough. I was supposedly sold a 'bumper to bumper' warranty and have had to shell out over $1500 in maintenance that the warranty will not cover. IT'S ALL A SCAM! Thhhhhhen...I was also sold along with the warranty road side assistance, which I was told if you've never used it before your warranty expires you will be refunded the additonal cost. Not a dime. Have made over a dozen phone calls to Ganley Honda & Honda warranty company and no one seems to know anything. PEOPLE AT GANLEY WILL SCAM ANYONE TO MAKE A BUCK! NEVER BUY HERE! EVER! More
