Thank you for taking time out of your day to let us know how we did. Customer satisfaction is very, very important to us, and we are sorry that you were not satisfied with your experience at Kelly Nissan. Your comments were passed along to management, and they are aware of your issue. It seems that you came in in October with a “check engine” light on and a rough ride after 175,000+ miles. After diagnosis, the Service Department determined the vehicle was suffering from a cylinder misfire, a result of the cylinder being washed down with coolant due to a bad head gasket or cylinder head crack. You were quoted a price for head gaskets, and a possibly larger amount if the cylinder heads were bad, as well, and you declined to make the repairs. You came back in a few days ago with an overheating issue at low speeds, plus a lack of internal heating. You informed the servicepeople that you had used an additive in the coolant to try and stop the leaks. After another analysis, it was determined again that you had a bad head gasket, and that the type of additive that you had used has, as a potential side effect, the possibility of blocking the radiators and heater cores, possibly creating further issues. According to Service, at this point, you felt that their analysis was incorrect based on prior experience with cars damaged in this fashion, and so they told you that you might be best served by getting service elsewhere, where you could get a second opinion. Based on your review, this appears to be what you did, so there is nothing further we can do for your vehicle at this point. However, as we said, we are sorry you were disappointed with your experience, and encourage you to call the General Manager at Kelly Nissan, Terry Longmore, at 610-762-9161, if you wish to discuss the situation further.
