My initial contact with the dealership was online through Kelley Byron. She was very helpful with providing pricing information and setting up a time for me to come into the dealership. However, it was dis Kelley Byron. She was very helpful with providing pricing information and setting up a time for me to come into the dealership. However, it was disappointing to come to the dealership and meet with a different person. This person didn't have any of the information that I had given Kelley. I had to wait while he typed all of basic info (name, address, etc) into the computer in front of me. My initial visit I was at the dealer for an hour and a half just to have somebody look at my trade in. I had already test driven the vehicle at another dealer. I went back to Kelley two more times with my sister as she was buying a jeep wrangler. I had decided not to buy the Grand Cherokee at Kelly, because Kelly did not have the silver limited that I want. When my sister went to buy her car, we dealt with Scott. When I told Scot I wasn't buying at Kelly because they didn't have silver, he told me that there was one on the lot. I had called two hours before I came and looked on line and I was told there was no silver. If Scott didn't know that was there, I would have bought from another dealer that night. Once dealing with Scott, things did seem to go more smoothly. However, in the beginning, we did have to give Scott all of the same information that we had already given to Kelley and the previous salesman. After that, everything was prepared when I came in, Scott answered all of my questions, and I was in and out of the dealership much more quickly. The night I took the car home, I noticed that the stereo was skipping. I had to bring the car back for service the first time on July 5th because the external antennae was completely missing. I waited while the antennae was replaced. On the way home, the stereo was still doing the same thing. I called again that day and said I needed to have a courtesy vehicle if I needed to bring the car there again (nobody offered me the vehicle, I had to ask for it). The first day that a vehicle was available was July 10th. I brought the car in and ended up waiting for an hour and a half because the traffic was so bad on 95. I was told then, that the tweeters in the car were bad and needed to be replaced. They did not have the parts in stock and they would take 5-7 days to ship. I was not offered any expedited shipping. After the parts were shipped, the next time a courtesy vehicle would be available was July 20th. Again, nobody offered me the vehicle, I had to ask. I dropped the care off at 10:00 AM and had been told the previous time that it was about a 4 hour job. I called the dealership at 3:30 to ask if the car was ready. It was not and they told me they would need to call me back. They called at 5:30 to tell me I would need to leave the car for the whole weekend and somebody would call me on Monday. Needless to say, I purchased the car almost a month ago and have brought it in 3 times for service and still don’t have a stereo that works properly. I live 30 miles away from the dealer, so this has added an additional 150 miles to my car, not to mention the gas. Also, I was given the courtesy with less than a quarter of a tank of gas, not even enough for my round trip. To top it off, the stereo in the courtesy vehicle has the same skipping problem that my grand Cherokee does. More
I HAD A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH THE DEALERSHIP. I DID EXTENSIVE INTERNET RESEARCH BEFORE VISITING THE DEALERSHIP, AND (EVENTUALLY) GOT A SLIGHTLY BETTER DEAL THAN I EXPECTED. A couple of weeks back I went to trade in my car for a new Jeep Liberty. After going to a competing dealership and not being able to work out a deal (think mind game and endless haggling) I ended it up a new Jeep Liberty. After going to a competing dealership and not being able to work out a deal (think mind game and endless haggling) I ended it up at Kelly Jeep. I was happy to say that they had a large inventory of all the different Jeep models, not only that but I was able to walk around the lot and look without be chased by sales people. I quickly found a Liberty with the options I wanted for what I thought was a good price. I then went inside and met with my would be salesman Dave who was more than happy to get me started on a test drive as well as go over all the options and features in the Liberty. Overall I must say the buying process was pretty straight forward with no hard sell. While I would have liked to have seen a little more money for my trade (who wouldn't) it was a far cry better than what the other dealership offered me the day before. Also keep in mind that on some of the vehicles Kelly shows all the possible discounts available, some of which the buyer may not be eligible for and I can see where some buyers might call this a bait and switch. To be fair Dave was pretty up front about this from the get go and the Liberty I wanted was still very well priced. Moving into the business office to finalize the deal I met Tom who had a great sense of humor and went over all the finance options and explained everything without any hard tactics at all. Overall I was able to find the vehicle I wanted for a price I was willing to pay with no hard sell or mind games which I was happy about. My advice is make sure you do your research as far as pricing, incentives, trade values and dealership policies go. Also take your time buying if you can. More
I went into this dealership already knowing what car and what features I wanted in the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Corey made the entire experience and process a pleasure. He knew the Jeep Grand Cherokee that I wa what features I wanted in the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Corey made the entire experience and process a pleasure. He knew the Jeep Grand Cherokee that I was interested in like the back of his hand, which essentially made me a lot more comfortable going through with the purchase. Corey was accommodating to all of my needs (feature wise, finance wise etc. etc.) He made the overall experience smooth and fun. Plus he has a great sense of humor and his approach was respectful (not pushy or annoying). Great guy, great dealership. No complaints! More
Scott helped me pick a car that I would be happy with. My first choice 6 months ago was not the right one. I came back to let him know how I felt, and he helped me find a solution.
