I had the pleasure of meeting Sal Amore, who expertly appraised my vehicle and determined it to be in excellent condition and approved what I consider a Good Deal. Our friendly conversation really made me feel at home. I then met Carlos Arciniegas, the finance manager. I happily purchased a vehicle from him when he was employed at Palm Bay Ford, two years earlier. He expertly walked me through the massive paperwork got me a great interest rate and out the door in minutes. While waiting for my vehicle to be detailed and gassed up, I had a casual conversation with Vinny Amore. I was able to decompress while we talked a few minutes about anything but business. I had been researching cars and dealerships for several days as I had a 13 year-old car. Unexpectedly, my brother died and I had to go out of state quickly. That meant buying a car quickly. Since I had seen pictures of cars at different dealerships and had talked to some internet salespersons, I had gotten my choices down to just three or four dealers. {Those weeded out had immediately indicated the Friends and Family Package I had would cost me money to use, which was a huge turnoff that that was one of the first things mentioned. The one other dealership that I had considered began to pressure me into financing only through Ford in order to use Friends and Family.} When Phil Pettus called, I knew if I had to buy a car in one day, he was the person I most wanted to deal with. He actually listened to me, asked the right questions and got me the answers fast. He was genuinely sympathetic and most professional, and was willing to work the deal quickly without obstacles so that I could get on the road. When I got to the dealership, he had the car ready and began the process of the purchase. While I was in the Finance Dept. he got the Bluetooth on my car ready and the Sync ready so that I could leave the next morning. Mr. Pettus knew I was under terrible duress and made the car purchase as easy as any car purchase can be. He even called me the next evening while I was on the road to make sure I was good with the car, to see how I was doing and asked about the well being of my older dog traveling with me.
