He has humility in his persona. Phil is soft spoken and not demanding...I honestly had no intention of buying another car..My Riviera was better running car than the car I bought.I was mesmerized by Phil Pettus friendly approach... He hws honest...His demeanor convinced my wife, that was it... Phil is above the mold of a used car sales man.....he will sell more cars with his approach than either General Mgr. I met there. More

First, it's important to say this was my first time buying a new car on my own. Many people suggested I bring a male friend (I'm a younger female) so that the dealerships would treat me better. And after visiting some dealerships, I considered it. But my experience at Kelly Ford was beyond amazing and far superior than what I found at other dealerships. Everyone I encountered here treated me with extreme respect. I first went to Kelly Ford a few months before I actually purchased my Ford Focus at the dealership. The staff I encountered then was extremely helpful, but was never pushy. That's why I went back to them when it came time for me to buy. Jimmy DeAngelis was extremely patient with me, showing me the different options Kelly Ford had available that met the equipment I wanted. Jimmy, along with Clayton, came back with an extremely competitive price on the car I wanted. Neither were pushy when I told them I wasn't going to buy that night, that I wanted a night to sleep on the decision. When I came back the next day, Jerry Compo assisted me with what became my final purchase. Jerry was beyond honest and upfront with me. He answered all of my questions and showed me all of the technology available in the Ford Focus. I had originally thought I wanted satellite radio, but he showed me how I could stream music on my phone through the Focus's Bluetooth software. Just this effort alone saved me about $200 on equipment I didn't necessarily need in the car. (And I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money). But what was more impressive to me that Jerry had no qualms when I said I wanted to talk to a trusted family member before I made the decision. And he showed no issue at all when that family member suggested I make a few final calls to other dealerships to make sure the price I was getting was actually a good deal. One of those competitive dealers I called, in fact, was impressed with the price Kelly Ford was giving me. All of this just confirmed the fact that I was making the right decision buying from Kelly Ford. If that wasn't enough, I followed up with Carlos Arciniegas signing the paperwork for the purchase. There was no doubt I put Carlos through the wringer questioning every last line in the paperwork and every penny I was spending. He answered all of my questions fully and never was anything but upbeat. What I liked most about Kelly Ford was how genuinely friendly (and trust me, I met plenty of fake nice salesmen while I was shopping) all of the staff was and how well they worked together as a team. The gentlemen I mentioned here were the ones in direct contact with my purchase, but EVERYONE said hello, asked if I needed anything while I was waiting and warmly congratulated me on my purchase. If it wasn't for the fact I'm moving out of the state, Kelly Ford would have a lifelong customer in me. More

Our F150 purchase with Kelly Ford was an easy, efficient and professional experience. We contacted Kelly Ford via the Internet and promptly received a reply from Phil Pettus. Phil was honest, straight forward and understood what information we needed. Phil answered all our emails quickly and never once made us feel pressured to buy a new vehicle. We had received a quote from another dealership so we sent it to Phil and he went to work on saving us some money? Phil had Tommy McGee follow up the next day to make sure Kelly Ford had correctly identified all the incentives we could qualify for. Tommy took plenty of time to ensure we were getting the vehicle we wanted and that we understood all of the incentives available to us. All of the groundwork was done with Phil and Tommy via the Internet and over the phone. Once we agreed on a tentative deal contingent on our trade being as we described it, we scheduled an appointment to visit the dealership. The appointment was scheduled for the morning after Christmas but because of some family projects our arrival was delayed until 5PM. We let Phil and Tommy know that we would be late and it was not an issue. They said the truck is cleaned, fueled and ready to go when you get here. We arrived at Kelly Ford and Phil had the new truck in front of the building under the roof so we could inspect it. We took a test drive where Phil explained all the bells and whistles on the new F150. Once we were happy with the truck we proceeded inside to review the paperwork. Everything was exactly as we had agreed over the Internet, no hidden fees or creative add ons. Phil introduced us to Tommy McGee and he thanked us for giving Kelly Ford the opportunity to earn our business. We took a seat and awaited our turn to visit with Tommy Emery the Finance Manager to complete our purchase. While we waited Phil Pettus made sure our license plate and other items got transferred to the new F150. Our wait to see Tommy Emery was short and he quickly explained what we were signing and why. He was pleasant, efficient and professional throughout our Finance Department visit. We were in and out of the Finance Department in 15 minutes and it could have been quicker but we got him sidetracked on our shared hobbies, which was ok. In total we spent one hour plus or minus at the dealership to complete our purchase and that is great customer service. The whole purchase process was easy and stress free. I finally asked who she was and she didn't want to give me her name - she would only say she is the service cashier. ?? When I asked her her name point blank she still didn't want to repond - she finally and reluctantly told me her name is Sheila. I don't think she wants to give out her name because she knows she is rude and treats people like cr*p. Sheila treats you like you're bothering her and she always has someone more important to help and gives you the brush off - like how dare you call and bother her. It clearly doesn't matter that you've just spent thousands of dollars to buy a car from the dealership that keeps her employed, your vehicle issues are clearly very annoying to her and she does not appear to appreciate the business. I would think that a big part of a dealership's business is for those folks they have sold cars to would hopefully come back and have the service done at the dealership, purchase parts, etc., in the hopes they would be treated well and then buy ANOTHER new car when the time comes to purchase. Shiela is rude and should not be allowed to interact F2F with customers if this is her attitude. since this is not my first experience with her (and she does not know who I am so it isn't that she doesn't like me, it's just every time I call this is how she treats me and I can tell it's the same person unless every woman sounds the same and treats people horribly - so it's obvious this is how she treats everyone since it's been a few months since my last call) it is clear that she does not have the personality or skill set to be in this role. She is probably best suited for a backroom somewhere - not customer service. I feel so insulted and if this person treats me this way one more time when I call, that's it - I like Kelly Ford and the folks who sold me the car and did the financing but I am going to take my service business elsewhere and will definitely be letting the manager know. I don't like having to spend money and be treated like dirt. not a fun way to spend my weekend morning hours. More
