I recently purchased a pre-owned Ford Fusion from Thomas Ford in Beverly. My experience was outstanding from my first contact with Steve Leary explaining what I was looking for, to Steve finding the right Ford in Beverly. Tony and Gary were very accomodating and professional in their negotiations. There is a very family friendly atmosphere at this dealership which one doesn't see at the big many car operations.. Came to dealership without an appointment (for an oil change and multipoint inspection and tire rotation) and they (Thomas Ford) gladly catered to my needs! I was very happy with my 1998 Ford Ranger until the frame literally came apart due to corrosion. The break occurred while I was traveling on a bad road and I barely noticed it except that the ride suddenly literally came apart due to corrosion. In spite of that event, I had been very happy with the vehicle and was determined to find another one. It wasn't easy because the ranger had been discontinued two years ago, but I searched on-line and found two low mileage 2011's. One was nearby at Thomas Ford where my old Ranger had been repaired on several occasions and I was very happy with the work so I made that my first stop. I was prepared for the usual high pressure treatment from sales people, so I mentally rehearsed an exit strategy as I walked into the dealership. As it turned out, I had the good fortune to be greeted by Ambrose Orlando who was exactly the opposite of what I had expected. He's a very calm and courteous person who listened to my plan to replace the old pickup and answered all of my questions. Most importantly to me, he never tried to push a quick sale. I told Ambrose that I wasn't prepared to buy on that occasion, but I was very interested and that I would come back with my wife who also would be driving the pickup. We shook hands and I left the building unmolested. No last minute sales pitch, no introduction to the "sales manager". I never made it to the other dealership because with my previous experience in their showroom and the fact that they have a very good service department, I decided that buying from Thomas Ford was my best bet. The next day my wife and I sat down with Ambrose we were able to obtain a fair deal on the Ranger. Long story short; thanks to that favorable first impression and the company's philosophy of treating customers with respect, we're now enjoying our "new" Ranger and we know that whenever we need them, the dealership will take good care of us. I have always been skeptical of car dealers and when I decided to visit Thomas Ford I was anticipating the usual sales person to manager back and forth that I had encountered in the past. I was turning in a Ford Fusion that I had leased at another dealer and I thought that my problems would begin there. Much to my surprise they made the experience painless and pleasant. Instead of the aforementioned back and forth the sales manager, Jeff Klein, actually came over and very clearly explained my options as to a replacement vehicle and I ended up leasing another Fusion and couldn't be happier! Everyone that I came into contact with at Thomas Ford was very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend Thomas Ford to anyone in the market for a vehicle!! More
I had a tremendous expirence working with the staff at Thomas Ford. I was looking at new escapes with Ambrose and also told him after test driving the escape with him that I would also be looking at the s Thomas Ford. I was looking at new escapes with Ambrose and also told him after test driving the escape with him that I would also be looking at the suburu outback.He gave me his card and assured me that he would be there for me.I called him a couple days later and said thanks for his help but I had to put off puchasing for a month or so but I would get back to him in a months time and he again said that any questions or concerns that he would be there for me.In that months time the suburu dealership called me at least 9 times and 3 different people doing the calling harrassing me on my cell phone at work after I told my suburu salesman the same thing I told Ambrose! Why Im sharing this part of my story is we all have heard about the pushy high pressure car salesman( and believe me ive dealt with my share in the past) and thats what I got with the suburu dealership and their employees! After a months time I stopped in Thomas Ford to talk to Ambrose and he was busy with another customer. As I was waiting for him Gary came up to me and introduced himself and said that David could help me until Ambrose was free and Dave took me out test driving. When we returned I was sold on this car and then Dave and Gary got the paper work rolling , Ambrose was free and he helped out and I was so impressed with the team effort invovled. Here I was wanting to be loyal to Ambrose and to make sure he got the commision but that was the last thing on his, Gary's or Dave's mind as all their effort was to make me comfortable and to expedite the process. EXCELLENT across the board Thomas ford is and a total breath of fresh air in todays world.Im not a number or a customer I feel like Im a friend. So I cant say enough about Thomas Ford, if you want competitive fair pricing,friendly genuine people, and want to leave out the pushy arrogant salesmen please go in to Thomas Ford and check them out as you wont be dissapointed. Brian & Chuck, as well as the other mechanics, are very knowledgeable, always helpful, and never try to sell us something we don't really need. We are delighted with our two Fords (2003 Taurus & 2008 Taurus) and appreciate it that the best possible service facilty is no more than five minutes from our house.
