Let's call associate 1 Bob and associate 2 Dick. Where Let's call associate 1 Bob and associate 2 Dick. Where to start. When I walked in, I gave them my maximum monthly payment, the maximum price range Let's call associate 1 Bob and associate 2 Dick. Where to start. When I walked in, I gave them my maximum monthly payment, the maximum price range, the amount of money I would put down, the warranty conditions required, and the financing offers to beat. I was told they could meet the warranty - 150k mile/15 year warranty on the hybrid battery, lifetime warranty on drivetrain, free oil changes and car washes for three years, and the other normal warranties. They did commit to all of that. Now, onto the mess. 0% financing was all fine and dandy until Dick came out after the test drive. Dick is really the main problem here, and I kind of felt bad for Bob because he just had to sit there and watch the xxxx show go down. All of the cars are marked up an astronomical amount due to COVID, the chip issue, and low inventory on their lotf. Supply and demand is one thing, but this was extortion level rip offs. We're talking about marking up some of these cars by 20k - Bob flat out told us that the supra markup is 20,000 - God bless Bob, he's just a bit too honest sometimes. The markup on the car I was looking at was 7,000. Then, after being told about the 20,000 markup, he slipped up a bit when he said, "20,000 is nothing, that land cruiser is being marked up by.... a bunch." He caught himself before naming the amount, he said it's the last one in the U.S., so they are probably marking it up by at least 30k. If you haven't read about it yet, the companies (so, Toyota the company) are asking dealers NOT to do it because it's losing them long term customers. Getting back on track here - the car they put us in wasn't the model I originally wanted to see, but it was one that I was also considering, so no biggie. The manager put me in that car BASED OFF OF THE INFORMATION I GAVE THEM - i.e., based on what I had down and my maximum monthly payment & maximum price I was willing to pay total. Then, they came back with a monthly payment of twice that much as "the minimum they could do," and suddenly, the 0% financing went away. So, they took me on this test drive under false pretenses. Then, Dick was a complete xxxxxx bag. The words that literally came out of his mouth were, "well, I got xxxxed over at 18 buying my car, so I don't care if I do it to others." - by the way, I'm not 18, I'm older than both of the associates, a USMC veteran, and a full time college student at the second best university in the country - "I do think it's fair, because it's supply and demand" "We get a ton of people to overpay here, so it works, and we are willing to mark them up and take their money." "It's not our fault other buyers aren't as smart as you guys are to research." I wouldn't buy from them. It's one thing to try to up sell to make more money, but they are aiming to blatantly rip people off. I've never had an experience this bad and my mind is blown at the blatant disrespect towards people. To get an idea of the markup - the venza has an MSRP of around 40k. With the markup, the final price to finance was 57,000 - which includes all the extra fees and taxes. Bottom line, their end goal is to xxxx over as many people as they can, and they are completely open about that. The commercials do NOT line up with what you end up dealing with at the dealership, they are a complete lie. Don't go there under false pretenses like I did, and don't waste your time. More
Lying, dishonest, bad customer service, the list can go on. They will run your credit without your permission, then lie about it. When confronted, they will also lie and tell you that the General Sales Man on. They will run your credit without your permission, then lie about it. When confronted, they will also lie and tell you that the General Sales Manager or their direct manager “isn’t working”, only for him to call you 5 minutes later and do nothing to fix the issues you have brought up. I would run far, far, far away from this place. More

I purchased my first Toyota from Keith Pierson 18 years ago, it was a Sequoia. During this time this was the only company that serviced my vehicle. When I came in a week ago to have my Sequoia serviced, ago, it was a Sequoia. During this time this was the only company that serviced my vehicle. When I came in a week ago to have my Sequoia serviced, I met LaCoya Tender. He was very professional and provided me with level 5 service. He presented the features and benefits of upgrading to a new car. I am now the proud owner of a 2021 Toyota Highlander. More
I visited yesterday with intention of purchasing a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-road. I am a semi experienced dealership purchaser. I did weeks of research on each model of the Tacoma and found the TRD Off-road was Tacoma TRD Off-road. I am a semi experienced dealership purchaser. I did weeks of research on each model of the Tacoma and found the TRD Off-road was the best fit for my family. The dealerships inventory was extremely limited. They only had one Army Green Tacoma TRD Off-road. Joey, the initial sales rep, was fantastic and transparent. He advised he was new and is still learning the ropes. He made my wife and I feel very welcome. He promptly found the vehicle and took us on a pleasant test drive. Once completed, we decided to talk numbers about the vehicle. This where the one star review for the dealership comes in. The first price sheet presented to us showed the dealer mark up of roughly $17,000 above MSRP. I built an identical truck on Toyota.com and found the MSRP was approximately $45,000 and their initial price sheet quoted $62,000. The initial shock was almost enough to make me walk out immediately. However, the truck did appeal to me and I wanted to see if they were willing to fairly negotiate the price. After a few minutes with Joey, he realized he needed some assistance and went to get his supervisor. This is no fault to him. I advised to Joey I won’t be an easy sale and fully intended on negotiations. His supervisor, AndreI believe, came to the table and started talking with us. He was a good guy but inexperienced in sales as well. I wanted to see an exact breakdown of charges that made a $45,000 truck, $62,000. He keep trying to change to subject and we never got to see the line by line price sheet. Yet, Andre, used the rarity of the vehicle as his primary selling point. Using the Army Green color, chip shortage, and lack of local inventory. I advised that other local dealerships have inventory because my family physically visited them. Sounding surprised, he acknowledged the fact and moved onto his rarity speech. After about 30 minutes back and forth, I told him his $50,000 out the door offer would be acceptable. Given the $45,000 MSRP plus tax, tag, title would be around that number. He wrote on a scratch sheet of paper and I initialed next to it. Andre took that paper to his manager. About 5-10 minutes later, the sales manager sat down at our table and did the whole “unfortunately” speech. He advised he wouldn’t be able to sell the vehicle at $50,000 because of the rarity speech. So, I asked him what his offer would be to leave with the truck today. He said best he can do is $2,000 to $3,000 off the sticker. So I confirmed the best he could to is max $59,000 out the door. He agreed and said he hopes to have us back in the future. I told him that if I leave here today without a truck, I will not return. So, being that I left without a truck, Keith Pierson Toyota is now on my list of dealerships to never return to and I highly advise any inexperienced car buyers avoid this place at all costs. To wrap this up, Joey was fantastic and I’m sorry he had to work at Keith Pierson, I would love to buy my next truck from him. Andre was decent, yet inexperienced for the role he fulfilled. The sales manger, didn’t catch his name, should be more willing to sell cars. More
