Picked up my new 2021 Touring 3 weeks go. On the whole, car was checked out well. But two items have problems: 1. Navigation audio is totally non-operative. Visual instructions are shown on screens - B car was checked out well. But two items have problems: 1. Navigation audio is totally non-operative. Visual instructions are shown on screens - BUT NO VOICE COMMANDS. 2. Active cruise control is unstable - the actual car speed fluctuates -3 to +2 mph about the set (desired) speed. My 2016 Outback was dead-on - actual speed was always maintained, even on up and down hills. You new car checkout might easily have missed the cruise control problem. But the total lack of audio in navigation should have been easily caught. Am now in Oregon for 3 months - very inconvenient. Big disappointment. More

I was offered a very good price for a forester well below other dealerships. Financing and purchasing was very easy. He was never pushy and was always prompt to return my emails while never badgering me. The sale was easy with no surprises. Terrible dealership, staff, and customer service. I had an appointment with this dealership on a Saturday at a specific time, to view there 2021 Subaru Ascent that I was really interested in buying. I call an appointment with this dealership on a Saturday at a specific time, to view there 2021 Subaru Ascent that I was really interested in buying. I called Saturday ahead of time to notify them i will be an hour late. We get there an hour later just to find out the car has been sold. No courtesy call, and the person who was supposed to meet us "Kyle" wasn't even there. I contacted the internet sales director " Suzette Henderson", and she expressed how mad she was, and said she will take care of it. Days later I don't hear from her... I contacted Subaru of El Cajon the next day and they were able to get my specific car same day! No problem. KEARNY MESA SUBARU dealership is full of empty promises, don't waste your time! More

I have been bringing my cars to Kearny Mesa Subaru for service since 2014 and have always been happy with the service, but it seems like their quality has decreased lately. Overall, I think communication and quality needs to be improved. -I had made an appointment online, but they didn't have a record of it -They did not do a walk-around of my vehicle with me -I asked about a loaner car, but they said none were available even though I saw other customers getting loaner cars. Later that day, when they realized the repair would take about a week they gave me a loaner car, but communication could be better here -I received no calls or updates about the status of my repairs until I got a call a week later to come pick up my vehicle. -I went to pick up my vehicle and was charged for repairs that I was previously verbally quoted would be covered under the warranty. However, the service department never gave me a printed out quote (I should have asked for one, but I didn't think about it). As a result, I had to come back the following day and when I returned, I spoke to my service advisor (who wasn't there the day before) and he removed the charges from my bill. -I never received the multi-point inspection sheet that I normally get -Ever since this service visit, I have been having problems with my car that weren't there previously. I thought about going back thinking it was one bad incident, but after seeing other recent reviews, I have decided to take my car to another Subaru dealership for service More

I am writing this review to express what a great experience this was and to command Kearny Mesa Subaru staff for their excellence. I have dealt with many Subaru dealerships in SoCal region during my search, and have bought multiple cars in my life, and this was without a doubt the best experience I have had. This was especially thanks to Jay Noblezada who was exceptionally helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. I am pretty sure he stayed wayyy longer than his shift because we were delayed on our way from LA. He made the test drive an exciting experience and was throwing left and right pieces of information about Ascent that we did not know even though we did extensive research. He really knows his stuff. The paperwork with him was buttery smooth and everything was clear and transparent from the start to the end. He really went out of his way to make us feel good and make this deal happen. Make sure to ask for Jay Noblezada when you get there for outstanding service. More
