I'm being generous with the one star. It all started off great. Our 2018 Outback got a 3 inch tear in the front leather seat. The car only has 52K miles on it. I sent an email to Ke It all started off great. Our 2018 Outback got a 3 inch tear in the front leather seat. The car only has 52K miles on it. I sent an email to Kearny Mesa Subaru (where I purchased the vehicle) asking if there was a goodwill repair from Subaru as it’s not normal for leather car seats to fail. I knew the repair was out of warranty, but worth a try. I got a nice email from Karina Garcia (Service Manager) and she said it was an easy process and that Subaru would most likely pay for the repair. Just needed to send her a picture and she'd take care of the paperwork. A couple weeks go bye and didn't hear back from her. I sent another email and it kicked back. I called and found that Karina no longer works at KM Subaru. They referred me to Franciso Quijas her boss to follow-up. I left a voicemail and sent an email. Francisco emailed me back to tell me that my request is outside his influence and that I needed to contact Subaru directly. Nothing more about the process. I pointed out the difference in opinion between Karina and himself and he just cut and pasted the same response back to me. Basically what part of I'm not going to help you did you not understand..... A bad response and poor reflection on KM Subaru. I copied the GM of KM Subaru and haven't had any response. I contacted Subaru on my own and they are covering the repair. I just needed a quote from a subaru dealor. I emailed Monica Flores of Subaru of El Cajon to get a quote. Super helpful and gave me a quote within an hour. Sent quote to Subaru and problem solved. Now just need to order the part. I'm left wondering why KM Subaru doesn't care about their customers after the sale? I recommend going elsewhere for your next subaru or repair. More
