This is one of my first negative reviews I have ever given. I had high hopes for my first experience with Kearny Mesa Infinity. I called and asked when were the best days and times to bring a car in f given. I had high hopes for my first experience with Kearny Mesa Infinity. I called and asked when were the best days and times to bring a car in for service to be able to receive the car back as quickly as possible. I booked weeks out and was told to bring it in at 8am. When I arrived I was surprised there appeared to be not even one customer there and just one service writer named Gilbert. I was greeted kindly and he began to review why I was there. I began to get concerned when what was in the notes was less than accurate and then he said he “would try and have my car back to me today”. I shared I needed my car back by the end of the day as I had a meeting the next morning at 6:30am that required the car. Gilbert said it should be fine and would call me at noon with an update. I gave him the key and went back to work. Noon came and went and no call. I reached out to him and no response. At 3pm I contacted him again and this time when I asked when the car would be ready I sensed he had forgotten me and the car. He said he would call me back. He did and said NOTHING had been done and a technician hadn’t even looked at it but I COULD COME PICK UP THE CAR IF I’D LIKE TOO. I decided to let them keep the car as he assured me he would have a tech look it first thing in the morning and call me. This was very inconvenient for my work meeting that had my supplies in my car but I worked around it. That next morning I did receive a text with my estimate. The estimate included them proposing to charge me over $1,000 to fix my door latch that I later purchased online for $90 and had the shop across the street install for $50. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my horn but charged me $100’s of dollars to look at it and proposed I spend over $500 more to have them look at the horn again. I am not making this up. When I told Gilbert the service writer to have them do nothing and I just want my car back, he said his service manager Tom Wanless and even his general manager Peter Lazic said I would be stuck with all the “diagnostic fees” that diagnosed nothing oh and they gave me 10% off my over $100 oil change. For over 10 years I have been a customer of the Acura dealership nearby and assumed this dealership would be just as good. I was incorrect. I have deep concerns for the future of this Infinity dealership and will be taking my business elsewhere. More

Kearny Mesa Infinity is honest and professional especially Adam Schmidt. I never feel like I’m getting screwed over like at other dealerships. Always a pleasure to interact with this dealership. Courteous and competent personnel. Prompt and timely performance of the required services. No cheap but fairly priced work and parts.
