We purchased a new vehicle recently. The car itself is fine, but the buying, delivery, and post-sales experience at Kearny Mesa Chevrolet was awful. Either sales reps and front line are The car itself is fine, but the buying, delivery, and post-sales experience at Kearny Mesa Chevrolet was awful. Either sales reps and front line are not empowered / incentivized to solve problems (management issue), or they seem to not be able to (also a management issue). Three examples of specific issues: 1. We had a paperwork issue with the purchase where it seems like they forgot one contract from the purchase (a big deal!). It's taken multiple weeks to chase down (and counting) with no substantive responses or action plan. 2. Because of an issue with a sales manager being rude and dishonest (ok, maybe I should expect dishonesty) during the buying process, I was told the GM would follow up with me. Weeks later, they claimed to have left a voicemail (they did not), and we still haven't gotten in touch with an empowered manager. 3. I brought my own financing from my credit union, and the dealer put in place temporary financing with GM Financial until they receive the check from my credit union. The dealer confirmed receipt of the check, but I've now tried for multiple weeks (without success) to chase down how GM will release the lien now that the car is "paid off" from their perspective. Based on this type of experience, I recommend you take your business elsewhere. More

I found the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado listed online for a good price. I am glad he did this ahead of time because had he not I would have walked away from the sale after wasting my time at the dealership and it would have been a miserable experience. Mustafa did a great job at communicating the additional ~$1,500 would be added to the advertised price. I appreciate his honesty and I appreciated the entire process once I was at the dealership which was 100 miles away from my home. Once there, Mustafa, was super friendly and attentive.
