In what appears to be a difficult time to find a car that you both want and can afford, I can share that my experience with David Markowitz of Karp Volvo was superb. There are multiple volvo dealers in the queens / long island area. One dealer, who I had leased my previous vehicle from was polite but quoted me a ridiculous lease rate blaming the economics on the pandemic. Another continues to send me emails "welcoming " me to their facility but hasn't returned three phone calls that I left pursuant to their instructions. When I explained this to the person who answered the phone, I was told that the person named in the correspondence "really" doesn't work there. My friend, who had dealt with Mr. Markowitz when he acquired his Volvo, told me David was a different breed and so, with nothing to lose, I left him a message. Within 2 days, I leased a vehicle. David not only located a car that I had wanted, but worked with me on the numbers. He did not blame anything on the current climate. Instead he went to work and I took delivery in less than a week. He also sat in the car with me for about an hour and even brought out his tech expert to work with me on setting up the vehicle. It may not be a perfect time to get a car, but the experience at Karp with David was asa close to perfection as it gets. The XC60 drives as advertised, a distinct smoother and more powerful ride even better than its predecessor, Volvo acknowledges some technical updates are in the pipeline to address the new android system. The car is also fun to drive. More
