Dear Mr. Russo, We did not attempt to ‘cover up” the chip which was no larger than the size of the head of a pencil eraser. We,in sales did not even know there was a chip until we saw it with the you. It was indeed touched up which would be the preferred practice at our prep center to insure there is no further deterioration. Upon seeing the chip we offered to bring a loaner car to your home the next day and take your vehicle back to the shop to repair it. However, you were adamant that you be provided a loaner car on the spot because you would be inconvenienced. This was on Sunday and the sales manager tried to explain to you that the service department is closed on Sunday and they are in possession of the loaner cars and keys and that is why he offered to do the pickup and delivery. At that point your sister who was not involved in the sale complained that we tried to sell you a damaged car. At this point it was realized that we could not reasonably satisfy you and gave you the option of purchasing or not. Did our sales person say they don’t come in a box—yes but what was conveniently left out is she continued to say sometimes they are damaged by stone chips while the on the truck or otherwise while being delivered and we do not always see it till preparation for delivery. You neglect to mention we were prepared to go the extra mile with pick up delivery and replacement. I am sorry we could not come to an understanding.
