I recently had a great experience with buying a new car. Jason Mickelson is like no other car salesman that you have ever seen. He is very personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and non-pushy! Once the service appointment was set we shoed up at the scheduled time and they carefully and thoughroly check us in. they gave us a ride home in a new and clean transport vehicle. within a short amount of time we recieved a call with a confident diagnoses and price estimate. we approved everything they suggested as it eas in complete alignment with our guesses. They made the repairs in a most timely manner and the cost was exactly what we were estimated. then they came to pick us up and bring us back to the dealership. and checkout and payment was just as pleaseant as the check in process. no surprises. this particular Corvette is a valuble collectable and cheerished by the entire family. Karl Chevrolet's team did a superb job and I will be having them do any work needed my others if/when need be. it is also the most impressive dealership I have ever seen. a wonderful experience all around. Always receive great service. Very friendly no matter how busy they are and definitely go the "extra mile" to keep the customer satisfied and returning. Bought 2 vehicles from this dealer. 2006 Toyota Avalon and 2008 Buick Enclave. I felt like I got a great price on both vehicles. The sales were very easy and enjoyable. Both cars have been great. I recently had to take the Enclave in for a repair in the body shop to fix a water leak from the roof. I took it in at 7:30 AM, and it was finished by noon. They did a great job, and because I was a good customer, and my car was out of warranty, they did a "good will" warranty repair and fixed the problem for me for free. They take care of you before, during, and after the sale, and I appreciate that greatly. I will definitely buy from Karl Chevrolet again and again. More
I went in for a tire repair and had a very memorable experience. Randy, Scot and Dale went above and beyond the call of duty to hunt down a hard to find replacement tire. I took my 1999 chevy silverado in because it was having trouble starting and stay running. When I dropped the truck off I ask them to also give me an estimate on fixing my 4 wheel drive, having trouble en trouble starting and stay running. When I dropped the truck off I ask them to also give me an estimate on fixing my 4 wheel drive, having trouble engaging and disengaging, and my tow/haul, also not always engaging and disengaging. Well they charged me about $650 for the whole deal. They replaced an oxygen sensor which fixed the running problem and then they also charged me $90 for each estimate, WHAT??? Of course they won't give you the vehicle back until you pay it all, who the heck charges for an estimate. Each of the other items was going to be about $300 to fix and the only problem was with the actual switches on the dash. Of course when the told be it was the switch with the 4 wheel drive I ask if it was the switch on the dash or in the transfer case, they said that they didn't know. So they charged me for an estimate and didn't really know what the problem was, or so they say. My father's yukon was having the same problem with the 4 wheel drive so he took his to M&M motor in Creston, IA, great place by the way, and they said they knew exactly what the problem was and put a new 4 wheel drive switch in his dash for $90, oh wait, yeah that is what I paid just for the estimate. My father then bought me a switch from M&M for $68 and I spent about 5 minutes of my time and put it in my truck. I didn't even use a tool, just my hands. Popped the dash off with my hands, pulled the switch out, plugged in the new on, and popped the dash back on. Very simple and it literally didn't take more then 5 minutes. Please do not go the Karl. More
