Bob Wright ably made connections with us as customers. He treated us with respect, and used humor in his discussions with us. The only downside of our experience was that we had purchased a car that so recently off the truck that we had to wait for the dealership to complete prep work for sales. I am satisfied with the low hassle deal we made. I would go back to Bob and his manager Mike to do this again. More
I was greeted immediatley upon entering the facility and introduced by Mike the Sales Manager to Carolina Shirley who took considerable time working with me, test driving multiple vehicles. I needed to bring my wife back the next day and Carolina again took time to work with my wife & I (and several other customers at the same time) with the same enthusiasm and energy as the day before. We test drove several vehicles once again and after looking at several color options, finally made up our minds and closed the deal. Carolina, the Sales Manager and the Business Manager were efficient and friendly. Since then the service manager has also contacted me to provide service when needed. No complaints. More

I started looking for a new vehicle several months ago. I have been driving a Chrysler Concorde since 2003(new). I first looked at KIA Sorento. I wanted a large vehicle, but didnt want to step in a Lincoln o have been driving a Chrysler Concorde since 2003(new). I first looked at KIA Sorento. I wanted a large vehicle, but didnt want to step in a Lincoln or such. My son drives an F150, and I didnt want a rough riding truck. So, the SUV route seemed to fill the bill. I liked the KIA, but they didnt seem to have just what I wanted. I then looked at the Hyundai Sante Fe. They had the vehicle I wanted, but not in stock. Seems so many of these vehicles were in black, or white, with mostly black interiors. I wasnt interested in those. No one seemed really interested in finding me a car. One Hyundai salesman appeared to make an effort, but didnt seem like he wanted the deal. So, I got online one day, checking around. I looked in Chicago, no dice. I looked in Little Rock, no go. I had looked in KC previously, must have forgotten about the Sante Fe that was at Shawnee Mission. So, I went to the website, looking around. Much to my surprise, a little chat box pops up, and I thought "what the heck", I'll talk to this guy. It was Scott, on the other end. Told him what I wanted, and it took off from there. Mind you, I was CERTAIN that I was going down a dead end street, again. WRONG !!! Scott jumped right in, and the negotiation was ONNNN. I had a price in mind, and didnt really NEED the vehicle, so I wasnt going to buy one, unless I got my deal! That chat is a good tool, but Scott soon got my phone number, which I reluctantly gave him, because I didnt want to be pestered like the other salesmen that I had run into, had done. GOOD IDEA !! Over the course of a couple days, we were able to strike a deal! Got pretty much everything I asked for, but it wasnt easy. Scott is a fine salesman, and spent a lot of time making sure I was satisfied, even though the dealership will have to shut the A/C off for the next couple days, because all the profit was taken out, according to his boss Chris LOL ! Just kidding, Chris was very helpful as well, I can tell she has that dealership's best interest at heart. I heard all about the dealer's status in the Central Region, from her. I finally had to tell her that she didnt have to sell me on the car, or the dealership anymore, that I believed her! Quite refreshing to see such dedicated employees these days, I really appreciate that, because I'm in management as well. Long story short, Scott went ABOVE AND BEYOND, in my opinion, making sure that I received my SUV. Met me on Sunday, no less, to transfer it to me! I was shocked by his dedication! Had a VERY pleasant meeting with him, and signed all the paperwork involved. I cant imagine anyone else handling the papers, lots and lots of details to sign off on, and he really helped us understand the new things involved in operating the Santa Fe. Kinda wish he'd come to St Louis, and carry mail for me in my Post Office, I'm sure he'd make quite an impact on my operation LOL. I'll keep you guys in mind, if I hear anyone needing a new car, because I know Scott enjoys long drives on Sunday mornings... BTW, this is the 3rd car that Ive purchased over the internet/phone in the past 12 yrs. I prefer this method, so I dont have to sit there and get "hammered" by some salesman who has to play the "let me go ask my manager" game of back-and-forth, makes for a good show for some, but that totally irritates me!! I had found the car I wanted down to the trim and color, so I decided to pursue it and began an online conversation with Scott Thouvenell at Shawnee Mission Hyundai. Right away Scott understood where I was coming from and made me feel at ease, and answered every question both honestly and thoroughly. I made him get many more details on the car, take more pictures than provided, and really 'tested' him. But Scott stepped up to the plate and never complained, and was always professional and friendly. We agreed on a price, and I decided to put a deposit on the car, and buy plane tickets to pick up the car. I was very impressed with the friendly staff and Shawnee Mission Hyundai, and just like Scott, everyone was very real, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.
