Our experience with Shawnee Mission Hyundai was pleasurable. We test drove several vehicles over three visits to find the right fit for us. We were not pressured to make a decision. When we determined that we wanted to look at the then in transit 2012 Sonata. They kept us up to date on when they expected to have one available for test drive. When we liked the car but not the color they found a similar vehicle on thier lot in the color we were interested in, event though the vechile was not in the same class as what we wanted. Looking at a whole paint job is a lot better than looking at a paint chip sample or a picture on the internet. We could see that the Iridescent Silver Blue paint did actually change color as the angle of sun light hit it. Even though the exact vehicle we wanted was not in stock, Micheal Ball, the Shawnee Mission Hyundai sales manager checked expected regional inventory, found our car in transit to another area dealer and immediately made arrangements for transfer. Too many dealerships only want to you sell vehicles they have on hand, or if something comes in we will give you a call. Dion Monroe, our excellent sales rep, did a great job of keeping us informed. Dion arranged to stay late to meet us when we were just coming up for a test drive. Additionaly, Dion came in on his day off when we were ready to make delivery. Scott's approach to sales was like a breath of fresh air... he gave us the freedom to browse, test drive, and was patient with all of our many questions even late in the day. I especially appreciated how he involved each member of our family (even our 10 year old son) in the car buying experience. Lee Trusty was also wonderful in working around our pricing requirements, and worked hard to keep us within our monthly payment range. The price even came in a few dollars less per month which was a very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this dealership, and especially Lee Trusty and Scott Thouvenell, for their high quality of service, working diligently for the customer's needs, and doing so in a friendly, no pressure way.
