Worst dealer ever! I was preapproved, selected a car but went out of town, so had to wait to finalize. I came back, tried calling the salesman but he wouldn’t return my calls. My husband and I went down there and found out they had sold the car. Salesman said they had another one coming in and that it was the same price. When it came in I went to finalize only to find out they raised the price. I called foul and left. The next day a different salesman called, said they couldn’t do anything on the price and I would have to go through the approval process again. I went to a different dealership that night (McCarthy Chevrolet) and drove home in a 2012 Chevy Cruze that night. Shawnee Mission Hyundai is horrible! More
I was nervous about buying a new car, especially about sales people trying to pressure me into buying something. Carolina made me feel very comfortable and did not pressure me at all. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure that I understood everything about the pricing as well as all of my options. She was nothing but helpful and nice throughout the whole process. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend her if you're looking for a Hyundai! My one comment is not about Carolina but about the financing people. I was prepared for the financing part to be not exactly pleasant, however was not prepared to be called "kid". I did not appreciate that. I bought what I think to be a fairly expensive car and believe that I should have been treated with a little more with that in mind. Again I highly recommend Carolina, she is great, just be prepared for the financing department. More

This is my first Hyundai. I bought it to replace a Volkswagen. The VW dealership that I worked with was very difficult in every aspect, including regarding me with what I felt was an excessively patronizing and condescending attitude when the car began breaking down on me. Due to that experience, I had anxiety about working with a dealership again. Shawnee Mission Hyundai was a completely different experience. I love my car, a 2012 Touring, and am recommending the dealership to everyone I know who is considering a new purchase or lease. More

Often buying a new car can be intimidating and not a very pleasant experience. However, working with Yvette Anderson and the team at Shawnee Mission Hyundai was the exact opposite. They were very friendly and made the experience less stressful than usual. She answered any and all questions in a very knowledgeable and courteous manner. In addition, she went through the various aspects of the car, i.e. the radio, setting up my cell phone to work through the car etc. I would highly recommend Yvette and Shawnee Mission Hyundai to anyone. There is a dealer MUCH closer to us, but the reviews for this dealership and the individual staff is the primary reason for coming to Shawnee Mission Hyundai. We also, did not have any preference to any of the sales staff. Henry Frazier greeted us with a calming "feel" to this process. (I have never bought a new car). All that being said, We did not even look at any other car, at any other dealer, and drove away (within an 1.5 hr.) with the car my wife loves. I had just accepted a job in a city about 30 miles away and I was going to commute. I needed a car that had great gas mileage, so I did some research online and found the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid received 40 and I was going to commute. I needed a car that had great gas mileage, so I did some research online and found the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid received 40 mpg. I contacted Matthew Pauly online and set an appt to test drive the Hybrid's in-stock. I LOVED them! I chose a white color, even though they only had silver, red and gray on the lot. They researched the car and found one in Oklahoma and had it brough up within 48 hours! There were only 30 in the United States that were white. They also helped me decide that leasing the vehicle was a better option for my goals and Matthew explained the process to me. I'd recommend going to Shawnee Mission Hyundai again in a heartbeat to anyone. What a long way Hyundai has come with both product, customer service and overall experience. I LOVE this car and so do my family and friends. More
