Hello, I am so sorry to hear about your experience at Shawnee Mission Hyundai. Although I am thrilled to hear about your interest in the Equus, I am so sorry you were not able to get the customer service we strive to give. In regards to the handicapped spaces being filled with new cars all I can do is apologize. Unfortunately customers often pull into those spots after a test drive and sometimes the cars do not get put away fast enough. That is no excuse and we are taking your feedback very seriously and I assure you we are coming up with a much stricter and enforced parking system for the customers after the test drive. As far as the Equus is concerned, Hyundai decided to have what they call an 'Equus Champion' that has done extensive studying and testing on this luxury vehicle that is the one person to handle the Equus customer. It sounds like in this case trying to have the customer in mind and have them work with someone specifically trained on this car didn't work out. What should have happened is the sales person that spoke with you should have done their best in helping you with the car and just explained that the person who could answer all of your questions was off but we would have loved for you to test drive and between the sales person that was here and our management team we should have been able to give you a better experience than the one you got. Again, we have taken your feedback seriously and will talk about it in our Saturday meeting to make sure all sales people are aware of what we expect the procedure to be when our Equus Champion, Steve Genova is not here. That being said, we are absolutely an approved Equus dealer and would love to be able to work with you. We are in the middle of an ownership change and we have received a new dealer code and therefore are currently not listed on the Hyundai website due to some clerical procedures that will be handled in the coming week or so. Hyundai would not send an Equus to a dealership that was not certified. To be certified you have to have a certain achievement of customer service as well as the stage in the showroom for the Equus. I would love for you to give us another chance to show you that we care about our customers and can give a world class car buying experience that I hope would make up for the one you had here recently. I would love to offer the services of Steve Genova our Equus Champion. He would be happy to drive the Equus out to your house and explain all of the features there and give you the unique experience of shopping at home for your luxury car.
