We went to Shawnee Mission Hyundai looking at the Elantra for my son's first car. Kevin Rogers was very helpful. He has continued to follow-up to make sure that we are getting everything we need and that any questions are answered and any concerns addressed. I first looked online and had a idea about what I wanted. Dion emailed me but when I came in, he was with a customer. So henry greeted me and ran my credit at my request to see what I could qualify for. I knew I had less than perfect credit but no one judged me for it. I was looking at a base model Veloster online to keep payment down. Henry came back and told me that with the rebates offered on the Veloster, it would be a good choice. We picked out a base model with a manual trans. but we couldn't find the keys. Henry let me test drive a another Veloster that was manual but with a style pack. When we got back from the test drive Michael told me they had submitted my app to several banks and they had gotten a few offers back but they were holding out for Hyundai finance. Michael came back with a great rate, probably better than I deserved lol. I signed paperwork with Patrick who stayed late to get me done because I came in After work. My car still had plastic on it from shipping and another dealers name on it so there was a little snag on getting the car transferred so they could sell it to me, so I agreed to come in the next day after work and bring my trade in in and pick up my car. I showed up next day and my car was still not ready. Michael and henry went out of their way to take care of me. they put me in different Veloster similar to mine except it had the eco shift trans. until my car was ready. Fast forward a couple day and still no car. I called and asked when I could pick up my car and then was told they ran into a problem. During the inspection they discovered that the transmission was throwing error codes and may need replaced. This is where they really earned my business. They told me I had a few option and to come in after work and we could talk about them. They gave me the option of using the car I was in until the trans. was done in my car or they could find me another car just like the one I bought. Michael looked and there wasn't another one in that color with those options close but they could order one in. I was not happy with the thought of owning a car that has five miles on it and needing a tranny and they understood that. I suggested the car I was in. I had already put 150 miles on it and the eco shift grew on me. Michael and Patrick reworked the deal and sold me the car for just a few dollars more a month. I don't think that most dealers would have done that. I ended up with a nicer car and close to the same payment. These guys are great. Every time I came in, they treated me like family. I would defiantly buy from them again. More

My salesperson showed me several features of the Hyundai Elantra before we ever drove it. I had been shopping for awhile and this was a first from a sales person. I felt very comfortable sharing my thoughts of the car whether positive or negative. I did not feel intimating pressure to buy the car, which made the decision easy to move forward. Our experience with Shawnee Mission Hyundai Service Shop resulted in knowing that these guys will cheat you blind if given a chance. On the Hyundai Entourage 2007 Van, I had already diagnosed the problem a resulted in knowing that these guys will cheat you blind if given a chance. On the Hyundai Entourage 2007 Van, I had already diagnosed the problem as a leaky air intake hose. My wife took the car in for regular maintenance and to get a quote on repairs. The quote to repair the leaking "air intake hose" was $420.00 ($105.52) for the part (By the way, the Manufacturer list price for the part is $77.03). When we declined to have the service done, it was discovered that the original quote was a "misquote" and the new estimate was $345.00 to replace an air intake hose. We declined. I went and picked up the part at Northtowne Hyundai (a much better option for a dealer and service) for roughly $80 (including tax). I paid $20 to buy a meter to read vehicle codes and to reset them. It took me 15 minutes - yes folks you read it right - 15 minutes to replace the hose with a new part. And I spent another 15 minutes cleaning up the engine around the engine cover, etc. and to reset the code. The car is now working fine and there are no codes anymore. This dealership was going to charge me more than $500 an hour for labor (computed based on my time spent and it should have taken them less time because all their tools are right there in the bay). Total effort - 3 screws removed to remove engine cover. 3 clips removed from hose. Hose removal. New hose clamped on. 3 clips tightened. engine cover cleaned with soap and water. 3 screws tightened to replace engine cover. Less than 5 minutes to attach code reader and reset codes. No more check engine light. Money saved $320 from original estimate. $245 from second estimate. Owner of a new code reader. Never going to these guys for service again. I highly recommend you find someone honest to do business with. More
