Another great Jones experience On June 20th my father, aged 91, and I worked with Mike Girken to find a replacement for his '13 Hyundai Sonata. Dad liked his Hyundai but my mother was not happy with the ride and a lack of a power passenger seat so that she could see over the hood. Mike put them in several cars and then found a new white Sonata Limited with a softer ride and an 8 way power passenger seat finished in light grey leather. My elderly, but still viable, parents were delighted. Through out the experience Mike was super conscious of the needs of his customers and he made the buying , financing, and delivery experience smooth and comfortable . Our family has purchased more than 25 vehicles from Jones since buying our first Maxima in 1986, and we keep returning because of people like Mike, Kevin Brammer, and Chris Stange and Daryl Nay in service. I also used the price quote from Edmunds.com and she told me about an additional incentive that we were eligible for - a $500 incentive based on my husband's veteran status from 1974. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Bel Air Hyundai was our very first stop in trying to find the Elantra Limited that I loved so much. they was recommended by someone I know who claims Bel Air Hyundai was our very first stop in trying to find the Elantra Limited that I loved so much. they was recommended by someone I know who claims they were the best to work with and would take care of me. I had high hopes, but was quickly disapointed. It started off by the salesman telling us that we were not allowed to meet the manager, Wallce. I was told by a friend of mine that Wallace was expecting us, and to ask for him when we walkd in. The salesman quickly told us, "You are no different then anyone else coming in here throwiing "Wallace's name around because of all of the 9 rock ads and that he was too busy to meet customers. (That is not why we asked to see him) We let that go. Then they did not have the car In the color I wanted(which was ok) , but the saleman said that he did not think they had any in the area that they could DX in for me (I knew that was a lie from the start because I had researched for weeks and EVERY Hyundai Dealer had my car) After that he tried to sell me on a color I did not want. Once I test drove, we went inside to discuss the numbers, ect. They barely gave me anything on my trade (they did not research to see how much I owed on it) and they did not run my credit to see what my score was, or what my interest rates would be. He claimed that the internet pricing was not for the car I wanted. He told me I could not afford the car with all of the options and asked me why I was even up there wasting his time when he could be out there making money(His exact words unfortunately). He then tried to downsize my options and put me into the basic model, which I did not want. He told me I should have known better. He called us name under his breathe, but made sure that we heard him. I complained a few days later and someone else tried to get me a better deal and makes things"right", but I had already visited other dealers after that horrific day, and had fantastic experiences with them. Although I appreciated the attempt to win my business, I went with another dealership who got me down to the payments I needed. No haggling, no negotiating, no arguing or name calling. Im sure there are many nice and Kind people at Jones Junction, but I guess we were went up there on the wrong day. I just hope that salesman doesnt treat his other customers like he treated us. More
Efficient, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Melissa Lusk was wonderful from start to finish. Wallace was able to pull a great deal for us... We were shot down for a deal we needed four other times within the week... fifth time was a charm. This group of girls and guys knew what they were doing and did it efficiently. They held up their end of the bargain and made our visit to the dealership enjoyable. We highly recommend Jones' Hyundai lot over any of the others and look forward to going back! (This was our 3rd vehicle purchase from Jones in the last 5 years.) More
Never go to this dealer for service. Took my car into the dealer because it was having trouble starting. When I brought it in, I was told that the Ignition Coils and spark plugs needed to Took my car into the dealer because it was having trouble starting. When I brought it in, I was told that the Ignition Coils and spark plugs needed to be replaced. I opted to have the Coils replaced onsite and would have the spark plugs put in later on. I was quoted $100 for each coil, which I thought to be cost plus installation. I was told that I would have to pay out of pocket even thought I have a Lifetime guarantee on engine and parts. I asked the technician if they recommended to replace all 4 ignition coils at the same time. He said no, that only two were malfunctioning and that other two were in excellent condition. When I went to pay for the service I was told my bill would be $400, including a ridiculous $120 charge for 2 hours of labor (even though they only replaced two coils). Upon checking with other mechanics I was told that ignition coils are an easy fix, and can be replaced in under 10 minutes. I asked why I was being charged this much and why it took 2 hours and the response I received was "Well that's how long it took us, and I'm sorry but I already rang you up." No explanation of what was going on or information at all, was just told to pay it. Now it is about a week later and my car won't start again. I have been waiting over 3 hours for Hyundai Roadside assistance to come by to tow my car. I have had several cars from Jones Junction in the past and have always recommended them. Now, I feel as though I have been taken advantage of because I am a woman, and I cannot make a recommendation for this dealership going forward. More
