Ms. Haddock, although I appreciate your taking the time to respond to my review, my issue was not caused by anyone in marketing. It was caused by a sales manager, Mostafa Abou-Auf. This is the person who mislead us on our car deal. This is the person who ruined what should have been a special day for my wife for her 70th birthday. As consumers, we are dependent upon clear and honest communication from merchants. When we predicate our actions upon one clear set of expectations only to discover they have been changed to our detriment by the merchant, the outcome is never pleasant. All I can do is to tell my family members, tell the folks at church, and tell my associates on social media about my experience with Johnson Lexus of Durham. If I can save just one person from facing the humiliation that was foisted on me, then all of this effort would have been worth it. I don't expect anything to come from this. I have seen hundreds of less than favorable reviews about businesses. The response from the owners or their folks always give the same boilerplate response; " we're sorry your experience wasn't up to your expectation" or "give us another try to get it right" or my favorite, "we will share your feedback with our staff and implement new guidelines." I will simply wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and I expect we will be chatting again soon after I post my Google review.
