On vacation in Stuart from NC and had a leak in the front tire of my Odyssey. Stopped at Johnson Honda and the problem was identified very quickly and repaired in a similar manner. Rick was really a great salesman. He gave me a a very informative presentation of the car I was interested in and showed me both its capabilities and limitations. This was no small thing for me as I had very limited knowledge of how Hybrid autos function and drive. Rick also gave me a tour of the dealership and service area which instilled confidence that I would get excellent service after the sale. After I was comfortable with the car and dealership, we discussed price and he made me what I consider a very reasonable offer. There was no pressure and no threats that the price was good "for today only". Since I had done my homework (on the internet and talking with another dealer) we were able to come to mutually satisfactory agreement. I have never bought a car before in such a non-confrontational atmosphere. More
I went to Johnson Honda purchase a used car and trade in my current car. Found one that I liked and took it home after signing the contract. The following day I received a call from the dealership asking me my current car. Found one that I liked and took it home after signing the contract. The following day I received a call from the dealership asking me to come in to sign something else. It turned out to be a second contract because the first was incorrect. I signed it because the interest rate and monthly payments were the same. When I compared the first and second contracts they had changed the numbers. The day after signing the second contract I received another call to sign a third contract. I told them no as the deal seemed shady. I was given the run around about getting my trade in and down payment back. Finally the deal was cancelled at my request. It turned out to be a big mess because they had already paid my other loan off (AFTER the contracts were cancelled) and had the title to my car. Long story short, BUYER BEWARE. Less than scrupulous business practices. More
I just wanted to say that it was worth the drive down from Vero Beach to the new honda dealership .
