We arrived at Johnson City Toyota about 11am and within 2 1/2 hours we were driving off the lot with a brand new truck exactly the way we wanted it. Loved how fast and efficient the entire staff was. If and when I'm in the market for another vehicle, I will definitely return to Johnson City Toyota! More

New Car Buying Experience I have purchased my vehicles over the course of my life. This is a couple of first time experiences. I contacted the dealership via the internet to I have purchased my vehicles over the course of my life. This is a couple of first time experiences. I contacted the dealership via the internet to discuss a particular vehicle in inventory. This particular vehicle appeared to meet my needs. Andrea from internet sales contacted me and we reviewed several options. We agreed to the terms of sale and decided that my wife and I would come to Johnson City to drive the vehicle. Just to make it clear this was a three and half hour trip from our home in North Carolina. As you can imagine Johnson City is not the closest Toyota dealer to me. However, the fact that Andrea was prompt and followed-up was most important. Once we arrived at the dealership we found it to be a buyer friendly experience. Back to the first time experiences. The first time that I ever bought a vehicle via the internet and the first time I every bought a vehicle from a young lady. Both first but great experiences. It's a FRAUD!!! I went to Johnson City Toyota to purchase a Toyota Corolla LE Premium they had on their website and on AutoTrader.com. The car was on both websites f I went to Johnson City Toyota to purchase a Toyota Corolla LE Premium they had on their website and on AutoTrader.com. The car was on both websites for over a week and I emailed someone about it the morning that I went to see it. When we got there, a nice young man looked over their parking lot several times in the rain looking for it. After waiting for about an hour, I was told the vehicle wasn't there. I was then shown several "similar" cars, but none had the features or the price the website car. They showed me a car that was almost $7000! more than the one I wanted. After a lot of stalling, they finally said that the advertised car wasn't there, had never been there and that the website car was a mistake. I understand that mistakes get made, but it was on their website and AutoTrader for over a week. At what point does it become false advertising? One of the many people I talked to admitted that I wasn't the only one that came looking for the car, so if they knew there was a problem, why wasn't it fixed and why didn't the person I emailed tell me it was a mistake? They told me they wanted to make things right and would work with me if I found something I wanted. Of course I wanted the car that was $7000 over the original car and they offered me an additional $500 off the rebate price. What!!! That's not making things "right". When i shook my head no, the man scoffed at me like I was passing up the deal of a lifetime. It was very rude, especially considering that it was their mistake. I left Johnson City Toyota very upset and disillusioned. I decided to stop at Toyota of Kingsport to see what they had. They didn't have the exact car I wanted but said they could get it for me. I laughed and said they have it at Johnson City Toyota. Long story short, I got the car I loved at a great price from Toyota of Kingsport and they took the car from Johnson City Toyota. Save yourself trouble and aggravation and stay away from Johnson City Toyota. But if you're looking for a Toyota, try Toyota of Kingsport. They are great! More
