Used car sales manager is awful!! Started out as a great experience, certainly didn't end that way. We found a Highlander online and wanted to test drive it. I called the dealership and verified it was still there and was available to drive. I also asked the lady I spoke with if we would be able to bring it home overnight since we live an hour and 15 minutes away from the dealership. She told me that it would be no problem, they did that a lot. We arrived at the dealership and were greeted by Lee. He was very helpful and polite. He rode along with us during the test drive. I asked if we would be able to take it over night. He also told me that it would be no problem, he would just need a copy of our insurance. I also asked him if there was room in the price to negotiate. He assured me there was and we would be able to come to a price that everyone was happy with. We got back to the dealership and I gave him the insurance info. He made a copy and said he needed to get a dealer tag so we could drive it home. A few minutes later he comes back with the used car manager, I believe his name was Frankie. He certainly fit the stereotypical 'car salesman' you would expect from a slimy dealership. He immediately struck me and husband the wrong way. He proceeded to tell us that the dealership doesn't like overnight test drives because they might miss a sale if the car is off the lot. I told him that 2 people had told us that it would be no problem. He asked me why I wanted to take it overnight. I told him that we lived over an hour away and I wanted my mechanic to check it out and we have 3 kids at home and wanted to make sure that it was a comfortable fit for us all. He fed us a few more lines of crap and then told me that if we took it overnight that there would be no negotiation on price and asked if I was fine with that. I told him I wasn't going to negotiate price until I was comfortable with the car. He then said that no one needed to waste anybody's time. My husband and I stood up and told him apparently he was wasting our time and left. I'm not sure if he was trying to use sales tactic or scare tactic but it was a sorry excuse for either one. He is a very poor example of what a manager should be. He is the image that is being projected by the dealership. I would hate to think that is what they want. He caused the dealership to lose our business. I will strongly suggest to my friends and family to stay away from there too. I feel his position gave the little guy too much power and apparently he thinks he can bully people into buying cars. He's wrong. More

Kevin was our salesman, and while a little overwhelming and high pressure, he was helpful and worked for us. The Sales manager, Brian, helped us a lot to ensure we got the vehicle we really wanted. When the 4Runner got there, it didn't have a feature we requested, so he gave us credit toward adding this. Jimmy went over all the features of the vehicle with me and made sure I understood how to work everything. He set up a time to get our remote start added very quickly and even arranged to come pick up the 4Runner at my job due to my work hours, leave a loaner car for me, and bring mine back when it's finished. Overall everyone we worked with was helpful and I am loving my new vehicle from Johnson City Toyota. More

Unfortunately, the vehicle rolled down the driveway and into an 18 foot deep ditch and was totaled about a year after we bought it. We had bought both an extra service warranty and gap insurance. It took me over three months to get my $1200 back that was unused on the service warranty and it has now been four months and I am still waiting for a $400 refund on the gap insurance. I was told by Kelly Overstreet my gap insurance was processed on November 15 and checks would be mailed on 15 December. It is now December 27. I have just been told that the general manager just today signed the paperwork and checks would be mailed out tomorrow and I should receive my $405 in the next 10 days. Apparently the general manager took from December 15 until December 27 to sign off on the paperwork. You really have to stay on these people to get your refund back. I think they need a new general manager. More

I was pleased with the service with assistance I received the day I purchased the car and am confident that the JC Toyota has some of the best inventory of used cars (and new) at the most competitive prices in the area. What has impressed me the most, however, and has set JC Toyota, and our sales team apart from any other purchase I have made has been the follow-up assistance. I live in Va, which requires a front plate. Our salesman, Matt, worked with me to come at my convenience and install a bracket. The whole team has been exceptional through the whole process.
