Horrible experience at Johnson City Honda, and especially with our unprofessional and immature salesman, Phillip. Information was intentionally withheld from us and we were lied to God knows how many times. with our unprofessional and immature salesman, Phillip. Information was intentionally withheld from us and we were lied to God knows how many times. As we were leaving, we heard Phillip bragging to his buddies about selling our car. The other sales guys were then laughing about it saying, “No way! You sold the VW golf?! You can’t lose! That thing just got back from the body shop!” We then heard Phillip shushing them, telling them we were standing right there, and herding them inside. Phillip then trotted over to us and asked if we needed anything. We told him we heard what they were saying and asked why our car was in the body shop. He then without skipping a beat said something like “Oh no, they were talking about that Ford over there. Not your car. Not the car you just bought” and he frolicked back to his boys, no doubt to make fun of what suckers we are. We are slowly noticing more and more issues with this car and realizing he had also lied about other issues. I would never trust these people and especially not Phillip. I’m giving a 2/5 because even given our negative experience, it was pretty on par for the stereotypical sleazy used car salesman. I guess we should have known better. Buyer beware. More
the experience was good and we love our car. the only issue i have with the dealer itself is they screwed on a front license plate holder which is not necessary in Tennessee.
