Stay away. I have had three horrible experiences here and I’m done. This dealership is minutes from home, would have been a great convenience but my expensive vehicles and safety are far more valuable than convenience….. First issue was early this summer. This dealership sat on my car for about 2 weeks before performing any work, this happened over two appointments. First one, they continued to give me the same update, that my AC was charged, leaked all the refrigerant overnight and charged again without finding a leak. Seemed hard to believe so I pressed them for more answers. Turns out they were giving me updates on a different car and mine was ready for pickup days earlier… They figured the most likely cause and asked me to come back in a month for them to confirm and replace the bad component. A month went by and I dropped off my Tahoe again, this time with an 8-day vacation on the horizon, plenty of time to fix the problem… except they waited until day 6 to actually look at my vehicle and then had to order parts… 16 days they had my car, 2-days work occurred. Issue two, my Tahoe is now at another dealership because Johnson auto refuses to fix my rattling tailgate. If I could post a video on google, we’d be in complete agreement there is a major issue... After ‘servicing’ my vehicle 4 times, but never replacing a single part mind you, I was informed that ‘they took the bosses car out, and his rattles way worse’ so there was nothing they further they would do. So because ‘the boss’ is ok listening to the trunk banging around like it’s open, I should live with it too… $70k doesn’t buy you anything nice these days I guess… And lastly, the issue that brought me to post this review… a HUGE safety concern… my Silverado had an issue with the trailer brake controller. A mere annoyance, until Johnson Auto touched it! Originally, in stop and go traffic, my trailer brakes would chime and say they were not connected, then reconnect. Once Johnson got ahold of it and replaced the part, I now get the warnings over and over which was followed by a TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM SHUTDOWN!! My trailer brakes completely disconnected and the system shut down as I came down the mountain this past weekend putting my life and other motorists lives in danger. That had never happened before they touched it and I towed my trailer a LOT this year. After the other two occurrences with my Tahoe, I have zero trust in this service department. There is no accountability here either. I have the service managers cell phone number, he’s very well aware of the issues I’ve had, yet they continue. The GM, Todd, didn’t feel my concerns were worthy of a call back. When no one at the top cares, why would any other employee??? More
I took my truck in for a recall and found out that it had a second recall they were also going to take care of. After getting the truck back it now has the check engine light that states the ABS (Anti anti-l a second recall they were also going to take care of. After getting the truck back it now has the check engine light that states the ABS (Anti anti-lock brakes) are not working correctly. I took it back to have them correct the issue and found that they could not get me in for three weeks. This is a very mismanaged organization with unskilled staff and a complete disregard for any type of customer service. You will be much better off taking your vehicle anywhere else as you are just a paycheck for this company. The only one getting any value out of their services is the dealership!! More

The 3 days I’ve had it I noticed that every time I passed a bump or train tracks, the steering wheel would shake uncontrollably. I took it back to Olga which she proved great service also but then had DAVE WAGNER the sales manager take it on a test drive because I quote he “Didn’t believe us”. While driving it for 10 mins he came up with random excuses saying it was because we weren’t use to jeeps. Then he says it’s because the tires were over filled and the proceeded to take it in and get some air out the tires. He brings it back to us and says that that’s all he’s able to do and we proceed to tell him that we do NOT want the jeep anymore because it’s unsafe to drive and we believe that was not the issue. There is no way we bought the jeep 3 days ago and it’s shaking this badly. He then gives us horrible attitude and shrugs his shoulders like he doesn’t care and walks off as my mom was speaking to him about her concerns. As Hispanic people we truly believe he would have not treated us this way if we were white. I can bet that if we were white customers he would have not shrugged his shoulders and walked off while we were talking to him or even said he didn’t believe us at all. I’m completely disgusted with his behavior and attitude. People like this should not be working at auto dealership companies if they do not want to associate with customers in a friendly way. More

It has been a year since I started this process on ordering a vehicle with the options I wanted. The 2024 Tahoe High Country isnt available until the fall with the options. TJ did a great job of prese ordering a vehicle with the options I wanted. The 2024 Tahoe High Country isnt available until the fall with the options. TJ did a great job of presenting the 2024 Silverado High Country with the options. The truck is amazing and has all the bells and whistles. I may have fallen in LOVE! The Johnson Team was AWESOME and went above and beyond: TJ did an awesome job on building the order on the truck with options I wanted, communicated very well through the entire process (order, accept, build, transit), pricing and negotiating on my behalf to get the best deal I could. He went above and beyond on fixing the dent that happened during transit by Kevin, getting me cash back for wheels/tires, making the paperwork a breeze, and explaining how the options worked on the truck. He's got a great eye on vehicles. Joe in Parts and Accessories went through all of my accessory options to help me make an informed decision on what would look best and what others had done on their builds. He had me come in and check everything before it was put onto the truck. He gave me a solid discount on all accessories which I much appreciated. Rob and his team in service did a great job on installing all the accessories and paying attention to the small details. He was also able to answer questions I had on the truck. He and his team will be doing all the service on the truck while I own it as they treat it like their own vehicle. Paul did an awesome job on tinting to match and the clear bras on the truck. Kevin was the man on the fix of the dent from transit on the body line of front passenger fender. You cant see it or even tell it was there. Will use and highly recommend! I overall had a great experience and everyone treated me like the #1 customer. This is why I picked Johnson Auto Plaza to do business with again and will continue to do business with. I greatly appreciate the time and detail everyone put into building the order on the truck, getting the truck, finishing it into the beautiful rig it is! This is the second vehicle I've gotten from Johnson Auto Plaza and this experience is a night and day difference than the first time and for the better! More

I took my truck in for a warranty service the oil pan is leaking a touch, and I asked them to look at the steering gear box that it appears to be leaking around the sensor. They called me up saying the stee leaking a touch, and I asked them to look at the steering gear box that it appears to be leaking around the sensor. They called me up saying the steering gear box is bad the idler arm is bad the pitman arm is bad and the hydro boost is leaking into the truck and wanted to charge me some god awful amount to repair it, I told them to just repair the oil pan that is still under warranty, they then said they need $1,200.00 to remove the cross member because the truck has a 5" lift on it needless to say I told them that I will just come get the truck, the truck only has 50,000 miles on it and I got the truck with the lift. I had another shop look at the truck they did say the idler arm and pitman arm got a little play not bad but will need to be addressed the steering gear box is fine it is leaking from the sensor like I thought it was and the hydro boost is not leaking inside the truck, I will never take my truck back to this dealer for repairs.
