The service department is good. Its not their fault that the part they installed, was defective and had to be replaced again. But, I do feel the quality of service could be somewhat better as the status of the part they installed, was defective and had to be replaced again. I've been a regular at John Thornton Chevrolet ever since I first got my Sonic back in 2015. Everytime I've needed something fixed or inspected, I'd come here. Everytime I needed a simple tire rotation or an I first got my Sonic back in 2015. Everytime I've needed something fixed or inspected, I'd come here. Everytime I needed a simple tire rotation or an oil change I'd come here. Unfortunately, things changed for the worst. Two months ago, I wanted to come here to get my headlight assembly replaced. It melted due to the headlight being inserted incorrectly, and the headlight no longer emits a good amount of light. I called the dealership to see if I could bring it in for repairs, but after being put on hold for ten minutes, the call dropped. I had made another attempt to reach out, but was again put on hold and the call dropped. A couple of months later, my engine light came on and I called in again to see if they could inspect it and get it fixed. When I rolled up and dropped the car off, I was told that the engine light turned off and that they did a standard service to it - no biggie, problem solved. When I was about to retrieve my vehicle, one of the mechanics told me that the engine light turned back on while they were rolling back up, and that I should schedule an appointment bring it back. At this point, I'm frustrated because that was the whole reason why I came here in the first place, so I just decided to go over to Precision Auto Tune to get it fixed. They took an hour to diagnose the issue (which was $20 cheaper than your diagnostic fee), and another to fix the issue itself. No appointment needed. I used to love coming here. You guys have had great service and the staff was/is pretty consistent in their customer service, mostly. But because I haven't been able to get my last two major issues fixed even after I ask for help, I can't see myself coming back. I respect your mechanics a lot - they do the work that a lot of us aren't qualified or knowledgeable enough to do, but unfortunately I will be taking my business elsewhere. More
