This is my preferred service department of the three I’ve used. I first started with the service department associated with the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, but left due to poor customer service used. Then, after moving to Cobb county in 2018, I tried a Chevy dealer in Cobb. They were better than the union city dealer, but not as good as Thornton so I returned to Thornton. The customer service experience at Thornton has always been great, and the waiting area is the best hands down! More

I had the worst experience imaginable and no one seemed to care! I arrived I did not have an appointment and was not told that I needed an appointment. I went in for an oil change. After sitting 3 hours I to care! I arrived I did not have an appointment and was not told that I needed an appointment. I went in for an oil change. After sitting 3 hours I went to inquire about the time frame. I was told I was next, an hour later I went back to inquire about my vehicle. I was told they were getting ready to pull it in. Keep in mind I got there around 7:38am. My last check was a little after 11am.. I was over it all and asked for a manager. The manager came and I said to him. I came in to get an oil change. I proceeded to let him know I arrived at 7:38. It is now after 11. I told him this was unacceptable. He said well my wait was because they were taking care of their appointments and my wait was because I didn’t have an appointment. I told him that if they were working strictly off of appointments they should have told me that and I would have made an appointment. He didn’t care that they had wasted my time neither did the service advisor. Longer story short I left after 4+ hours with no oil change. More
First, I was surprised that I needed an appointment just to have a routine oil change. Then was told that the earliest appointment available was 10 days away. Made the appointment and then was called within to have a routine oil change. Then was told that the earliest appointment available was 10 days away. Made the appointment and then was called within 10 minutes and told that there was a cancellation that day at 2 pm - took that appointment and arrived at dealership about 10 minutes early and checked in. I then waited approximately one hour for the oil change to be completed. I thought that was significantly longer than it should take with all the equipment that a dealership has. More
