I recently visited this dealer to buy a standard commuter car to drive to work everyday. I was showed a used 09 cobalt LS with 2500 miles and no extras which was perfect for what i needed. I knew the value o car to drive to work everyday. I was showed a used 09 cobalt LS with 2500 miles and no extras which was perfect for what i needed. I knew the value of this car was around $12,000 so i was shocked and offended when they asked me for $17,000 and told me i was getting a "clearance discount". After some negotiation they came down to $15,000 (still $3,000 over the actual value. To add to their vulgarity they offered me about 1/3 of what my current vehicle was worth on trade. The staff knew nothing about the cars they tried to sell and they talk to their customers like they are morons. I was not only displeased by the quality of my visit but insulted by the prices and how i was talked to. i would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More
MY CAR WAS TAKEN TO JOHN JONES FOR AN OIL CHANGE; AFTER IT WAS SERVICED IT BEGAN LEAKING OIL ALL OVER THE DRIVE-WAY; I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SO I SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE DEPT ABOUT BRINGING IT IT WAS SERVICED IT BEGAN LEAKING OIL ALL OVER THE DRIVE-WAY; I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SO I SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE DEPT ABOUT BRINGING IT BACK IN AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CHECK THE CAR IN ABOUT 15-20MIN. THIS NEVER MATERIALIZED; I AGAIN CALLED (1 WEEK LATER) THE SERVICE REP SAID THEY FORGOT BUT WOULD ABLE TO CHECK THIS TODAY AND WOULD PICK THE VEHICLE UP(AN 01 CHEVY) TO FIND OUT WHY IT HAD BEEN LEAKING SINCE BEING SERVICED(i live very close by) THAT WAS A WEEK AGO AND I"M STILL WAITING. I"M SURE IT IS EITHER AN OIL PLUG PUT IN WRONG OR A FILTER THAT WAS NOT SCREWED ON RIGHT; SIMPLE ENOUGH TO FIX, IF YOU CAN GET THEM TO STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. OVERALL MY EXPERIENCE WITH JOHN JONES HAS BEEN GOOD AND I HAVE BEEN HAPPY WITH THEM IN THE PAST AND HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL CARS FROM THEM; THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM. More

I bought a 2003 cavalier NEW from John Jones at their corydon location. It has been a lemon since day one- left me stranded in 5-6 different states and has ruined every vacation i've ever driven on. Th corydon location. It has been a lemon since day one- left me stranded in 5-6 different states and has ruined every vacation i've ever driven on. The recurring problem is an over-heating issue that either they can't recapitulate the problem or they claim to have fixed it but really have not. Within the first year or so, we contacted john jones about the problem. They were incredibly rude, disrespectful, apathetic, and uncoperative to resolve the issue. Dan sillings essentially told us that it was our bad luck and that he'd be happy to trade it in for a new one and give us near to nothing for the trade-in. In addition, I don't spend $23,000 to be talked to in such a condensending tone! GM committeed to resolving the problem but four years later and the car is still 100% unreliable and continues to have the same problem. In addition, the last time it over-heated, we were informed that we did not have the extended warranty that we paid for. After a very intense debate with the garage and with GM and after having to fax the signed contract to them all, they notified us that John Jones sold us a third party warranty... which is usually only sold on used cars. With this warranty, we now have to pay $50 every time we take it in for anything, and with the history of this car, trips to the garage for the same problem that they cannot fix will remain just as frequent but much more costly. John Jones sold us a lemon but are completely unwilling to accept any responsibility. I would not recommend them for anything.. ever. We're currently seeking legal advice. More
