Short cuts in service department. Went in for routine maintenance. (State inspection, oil, tire rotation ect). Got my vehicle back in what I would call a very short time. Considering the amount of work to be done, I'd say it was too short. Lately when I get a vehicle worked on by someone other than me, I take precautions to make sure its done correctly. In this day of the "xbox" generation, I find that these young mechanics have no idea how to do a job correctly. So I get my vehicle back and I go around and noticed that the tires have not been rotated and upon further inspection, I see that they have never been removed because the grime on the wheels and lug nuts has not been smudged. Now I know that during a state inspection you have to remove the wheel from the vehicle to inspect the breaks. So there is a red flag and what other short cuts are they doing. Did they change the oil? I called to complain and the service manger asks me why I think the service was not done. I told him because I know what has or has not been done to my vehicles and I know what position the tires were in. Obviously the answer didn't suffice because he started to playing 20 questions. He was basically calling me a liar. That infuriated me beyond all belief. When it comes to maintenance, I am a stickler. My last car, I kept records of everything. Kept every reciept of everything! Right down every drop of gas that was used in it, where is was bought, and how much. I could tell you the Direct Operating Cost over the past ten years! So don't question me about maintenance! My advise is to have your service done somewhere else. More
Incompetent Service Ordered oil change and tire rotation on an Acura suv. Picked up vehicle and service writer said tire rotation was not done because tires were wearing Ordered oil change and tire rotation on an Acura suv. Picked up vehicle and service writer said tire rotation was not done because tires were wearing evenly--contrary to manufactures recommendation. When next oil change was due, went to Acura dealer. Service manager approached me while I was waiting for vehicle with Howerton Honda invoice in hand ( incidentally, Howerton charges for printing a service invoice). Howerton invoice showed that they had installed 4 quarts of oil. The Acura suv requires 6 quarts. Lesson learned: If one must have routine maintenance done at Howeton's, check oil level, tire air pressure, et. al, before leaving premises. More

2014 Pilot My husband and I had been looking to buy me a new mid size SUV for a year. We owned my 2006 Honda Odyssey for over 7 years and it was a great vehicle, My husband and I had been looking to buy me a new mid size SUV for a year. We owned my 2006 Honda Odyssey for over 7 years and it was a great vehicle, but didn't go well in the snow, so when it was time for a new vehicle I knew I needed and SUV. Sonny was the one who showed us the Pilot and he was absolutely perfect. My husband hates pushy salesman, and Sonny was not that way, so we liked him immediately. He answered all of our questions and was honest. When we came back in a few weeks ready to buy, Sonny got us ready to purchase it and Randy came in a dealt with us after that. Randy was great as well. He was honest, straightforward and professional. Our deal took less than 10 minutes, and that made my husband very happy. We didn't feel that we were strung along at all. They told us what they could do, and we told them what we could do and it worked out great. We very much appreciate the guys from John Howerton Honda and we love our New Pilot! More

Ben Parker called me the next morning to make an appointment to meet at the dealership after work. When I got there he already had one of the vehicles I had picked out Sunday night staged and ready for me to look at. I test drove that 2011 Honda Acord but ended up purchasing a different certified pre-owned Acord on the lot without any trouble or hassle. When I went in to work on the financing, PJ gave me a range of payment and term options(4) to choose from instead of haggling over terms and payment. It was the easiest, most no-pressure experience I've ever had as car buyer. When you factor in that I was able to get the payment I wanted, the warranty that comes with a certified pre-owned vehicle, VIN etched windows and the Howerton Difference, I am extremely pleased with my experience. And BTW, I've never purchased gap insurance or an extended warranty prior to this purchase. The finance manager, Felicia, who closed out my paperwork presented the different extended warranty packages in a manner that I couldn't say no. I was able to pick and choose the coverage that best fit my needs even when I didn't think I needed it going in. Overall, the best experience I have had to date. More
Awesome Experience I knew I wanted a Honda CRV but wasn't sure where I would purchase it. Early on I met Tracy Simms due to my doing some Honda research. She began email I knew I wanted a Honda CRV but wasn't sure where I would purchase it. Early on I met Tracy Simms due to my doing some Honda research. She began emailing me and made contact by phone. She is such a pleasant not overbearing person I knew I wanted to do business with her as my salesperson. It took a few months for me to get everything to the place where I was prepared to purchase my new CRV. Tracy continued to contact me throughout this time. She was always very friendly but never pushy. I would have not pursued this dealership had she been. Finally May 2 I got to meet the lady I had been emailing and speaking with on the phone. She was so nice in person just as I thought she would be. We were able to make the deal that day. I now am the proud owner of a 2014 Honda CRV EX, blue in color and I love it! One other thing...I have bought new and used cars before in my life and normally the salesperson will be very friendly and willing to assist in any way so I was expecting this but the whole staff at John Howerton Honda were as polite, kind and helpful to me as they good possibly be. I told my son and daughter they made me feel special. I will recommend them to everyone I see. Honda speaks for itself but the service that I received went over and above what I have normally had. I will pay more and travel further to get good service which is a quality that seems to have left this country. God Bless John Howerton Honda for being a service, person centered dealership! More
