Would not recommend this dealer for selling or trades. Sales staff seem fine, but getting paid for your vehicle is something else. Sold my car to them on Saturday (when accounting wasn't in the office), they told me they would drop off a check at my house on Monday (since one of the guys in service lives by us). Over a month and several phone calls later, they have my car listed on their website for sale, but still have yet to pay me for my lease turn in. I've sold several leases before and always got a check before they took my vehicle, let alone posted it for sale. Nicole in accounting has been very confrontational and presumptuous to deal with. She is the #1 reason I won't be going back. I strongly recommend selling somewhere else, it's not worth the headache dealing with their run around and unreasonably spiteful accounting department. After showing us 3 different trucks, our son decided on the truck he couldn't live without. Crazy, he went to look at Chevy Sliverado trucks and totally fell in love with a Dodge Ram. I asked for the car fax on the Ram truck which Thomas Lee graciously printed and presented to me. I noticed there was a recall on the truck and asked about it. As the car fax did indicate there was not a fix for the recall yet. I was told this was not an issue, that if it were, they could not have put the truck on the lot for sale. We went through the paperwork process (filling it out for credit approval), were accepted and were now waiting for my sons dream truck to be delivered to him. Finally, he was able to go sign the paperwork. While he was signing Thomas Lee came to tell his Dad and myself that he could not sell us the truck due to the open (no fix yet) recall. He had to go and stop the signing of the paperwork. as well. Thomas did try to sell us on other trucks, but my son had his heart set on the one he fell in love with. Thomas did ask us to give him until Monday to try to resolve the issue. When we did not hear from Thomas, we bought a different truck from another dealership. More
Went to John Hirsch Cambridge Motors because they had a truck I liked on the lot. Drove it, loved it but in the end the wife hated the color. It was a Brown Ram… so let’s see what else they have, walked around the lot with my son and we found a silver one we all liked. Asked the salesman the price and it was $46,000 with 12,567 miles on it. We drove it, loved it so we pulled the trigger on it. Get into the paperwork for finances and it was $47,000 and there was now 14,251 miles on it. Little different but whatever, it’s been 3 hours and already sent my son home. Truck is cleaned up and ready to go. On my way home had to stop and fill it with gas because the gas light came on, I asked them to fill it or at least put some gas in it to get me home… nope. Get home and showing it off, Wife thinks it smells funny… looked around and noticed there is dried crusty ice cream in the cup holder of the back seat.. the detail must have missed that, the peanuts under the seat, the stickers and tape still on the windows, the twine, sticks and dirt in the bed under the tonneau cover. Not that big of deal but kind of annoying. Excited to drive it to work and show the boys the new whip! Go to leave and notice a spot underneath it, didn’t think much of it, I get home to find a big puddle of oil in the garage and multiple spots on the concrete driveway where I had parked. So, I called to talk to the salesman and he stated the managers were in a meeting and he would have to call me after to get a plan to make it right…. Day and a half later haven’t heard anything so head the hour drive back to the dealership. Walked in with the keys and paperwork and told them the problems I had. I’m not happy. This is a certified pre owned vehicle that they “inspected from nose to tail” as stated on the front license plate and it obviously wasn’t. He took my keys and paperwork said you’re within the 5 day guarantee we will cancel the transaction and mail you a check for the amount of your deposit, no attempt to make it right. No apology. Nothing…. So now I’m out the time, the time it took to get a ride home, the gas money in the tank of the truck that was on empty and now half full and the tank of my mothers vehicle to come get me. Ding on my credit report for the loan and will be waiting to get my down payment back in the mail. Now without a truck we all really liked and having to spend another day looking for something else. This is not how this was supposed to go. More
Initial experience was good. The used vehicle I purchased is an AWD. During the test drive the rear end kicked out several times. I attributed it to bad roads and weather. The issue continued. 2 days after purchase I noticed the rear tires were different from the front, they should be the same on AWD vehicles. Cambridge Motors said it was not a safety issue and said I could purchase tires from them instead of fixing the issue. You would think a reputable dealership would at a minimum know that AWD needs all of the same tires (tread pattern) and that it IS a safety issue. I will not be purchasing any more vehicles from Cambridge Motors and I suggest you do not either. Very unhappy customer. More
We went to look at a SUV hubby had checked out, wound up being able to drive it home that day. When I walked in, a very nice guy, Richard Thielen greated us. I had just had an infusion so was kinda snippy, & I blurted out, this is what I want, this is my highest price, & I'm doing a trade in. He was so sweet, wrote it all down and within a short time we found what we both wanted & needed. I still wasn't feeling great so I tole hubby to take it for a drive without me, Richard made sure I had anything I needed til they got back. Hubby knows me after 40yrs & I trust him. He came back and said I'd like it more than I thought, was he right. I felt safe driving in the weather today, and the roads were nasty. The Chevy Traverse handled like a dream. Started it in the house so it was warm. It handled Great. Richard was such a sweetheart, and he knew what he was talking about, I was really surprised at everything he knew about all the different vehicles. I'll make sure to pass his name along to all my friends. We also had a great gal, Brooke that did all the paperwork to get us a great deal on warranties, at our age we know how expensive it can be, this will really help just in case, she really knew her stuff, she found just the right package we needed. If you're looking for a ride, ask for Richard Thielen, and no he didn't pay me for this review, but I did ask if I could give him one, it was getting really late and he was ready to leave when we walked in, as a former business owner ourselves, he gave us the best of Customer care. More
