I told them up front that I was window shopping and learning about different makes/models of cars. I had no intention to buy a car that day. It was my good fortune to work with David Lybarger. He is a careful listener, respected my preferences, and is an expert at addressing my objections. After evaluating several options that Dave presented, I purchased a new 2017 CR-V. It is an awesome car! I never bothered to waste my time looking at Buick, Cadillac, or Toyota. I am the newest Honda convert, all because of Dave and the Hinderer Team. Hinderer Honda is committed to providing excellent customer service. We were given a tour of the facilities. The Service Department offers every comfort of home, including beverages, snacks and WiFi. The best part of buying a car from Hinderer Honda is their people. We watched the employees interact with each other. They help each other, display respect and friendship, and work together to give customers a memorable experience. it is obvious that Hinderer Honda is a great place to work because their employees are happy to be there. We were surprised when many of the management staff stopped to welcome us and introduce themselves. They all made us feel welcomed and valued. Jim Brown was our Finance Manager. His knowledge and friendliness made the tedious paperwork process quick and painless. Jim deserves a gold star for patiently answering all my questions. Hinderer Honda makes buying a new car a pleasant experience. Learning to use all the new bells and whistles on the new car is something else again, especially for folks whose first car was started with a hand crank. No worries here - Matt Burgoon came to our rescue. He was patient with us, translated the new technology into words we understood, and made sure we could demonstrate how to use the new features. If you want a great car, a great deal, and great people, Hinderer Honda is the place for you. More

Re-discovered a great dealership and value. I was searching for a used 2006 CR-V for my daughter and found one on John Hinderer Honda's website with 126,000 miles. Scheduled a test drive on-lin I was searching for a used 2006 CR-V for my daughter and found one on John Hinderer Honda's website with 126,000 miles. Scheduled a test drive on-line Friday night, after hours, and received a confirmation phone call shortly after they opened the next morning. At arrival, we greeted by Curt Purdy who showed this car and coordinated our test drive. After the test drive my daughter decided she did not want the CR-V and Curt recommend two other possible options based on mileage/condition, ownership history, and our budget. In the end we decide on a 2007 Civic Coupe, Curt recommended, with a complete CarFax service history from Honda dealerships. What I appreciated was Curt's relaxed approach, and he provided good options based on what we were looking for without pressure that I have experienced at other dealerships. The Civic was fairly priced without the 45-60 minutes of back and forth negotiation I experienced at Lindsay Acura on my older daughters used car purchase. I "re-discovered", John Hinderer Honda from our new 2005 Honda Pilot purchase, which was also a good experience, as they gave us a very fair trade-in for old car, and completed the necessary paper work smoothly. We live 50 miles from John Hinderer Honda, but it was definitely worth the trip! More

It is rare these days to find a dealership these days that treat you fair and honestly. These guys do everything they can to make you feel like a part of their family. Over the years I have purchased motorcycles and cars from them and they crush it every time. The folks I dealt with yesterday are all professionals and I was convinced that my happiness was first on the list. Thanks again Ron! This past summer I was mistreated at an east side Columbus Honda dealership when they cheated at an oil consumption test. Hinderer's service department (Shout out to Jeremy!) worked hand in hand with Honda to pick up the pieces and get me back on the road. Hinderer is top notch in my book. Buyer Beware - Ask all questions We have purchased new cars from JHH before but never again. We went into the dealership after being contacted about turning in our lease early. Their first offer on a HRV was a higher monthly payment than our Odyssey which stickers for $14,000 more. We were able to get price down and left with car. Three weeks later, we get a letter from Honda Financial telling us we owe $2000 for remaining payments and overage on mileage; both of which we were told would be handled by the dealership. When we contacted dealer, they denied saying they would cover expenses. When I mentioned we would not have got a new car if we still had to pay the final two payments I was told that people do that all the time. John Hindered does not value their customers at all. We have purchased 5 cars from them and were treated with utter disrespect and unethical behavior. More

Vehicle won’t start intermittently. Problem occurred the day after purchase. They kept the vehicle for a week and claimed it started every time with no issue, therefore they couldn’t troubleshoot the issue. Upon getting home that same day of pickup, (today 2/17/18) vehicle won’t start and is currently stuck in our driveway. Thank god my wife (purchased for her vehicle) and 4 month old son weren’t out of town! Also having an issue where the drivers window won’t go up properly and was told since I “own the vehicle now it would be my responsibility” by Justin Hinderer as well as having to put $100 towards an exhaust leak that happened about 2 weeks after purchase. Would give zero stars if that were an option! More
