Service department is great. Have been dealing with Hinderer over seven years. They always put customers first and had my vehicle completed on time. They stand behind their work. I gave 4 hours notice that I was coming to look at a specific used Odyssey. I expressed concern to someone named Ashley via email about there being some markings on the back seats in the vehicle’s pictu specific used Odyssey. I expressed concern to someone named Ashley via email about there being some markings on the back seats in the vehicle’s pictures and was told it was just something sticky and they would have it detailed by the time I got there. When I got there the van was so dirty inside that it had an odor. The salesman assured me it was just due the vehicle not having been detailed and sitting closed up for a while. The website, sticker on the van, and the salesman said the van is “Modern Steel” it is actually a color called “Forest Mist”, it’s concerning a Honda dealership couldn’t tell the difference. I verified the paint code on the inside of the drivers side door as well as the app. They’re lucky Mason is such a nice person, we liked him so much more than other sales people we’ve met so we proceeded with the sale. Four hours later after they jumped the battery because of course it died...we drove home in the Odyssey we purchased. The next day I move one of the back seats to show my parents how they move and there’s 3 years worth of nastiness under the seat. So I deep cleaned my (new to me) used van and found all types of prizes including a partial deck of cards, popcorn, coins, and Cheetos. The moldy lollipop sticks in the door were a nice bonus. I also removed 6 blue “air fresheners” that smelled gross that were hidden under seats and in doors. Pretty sure “Honda Certified” vehicles are supposed to have their brake pads replaced if they’re more than 50% gone, they missed that mark so I paid to have them replaced. Then the paperwork...I guess they didn’t have me sign some forms, or had me sign in the wrong place. So they emailed me the forms and I had to sign them and mail them back. I live an hour and half away so there was no just driving by real quick. Then I had to do it again because my trade in vehicle was under my maiden name(not sure if there’s a way for them to have known that though). It would’ve taken an hour to have cleaned that van correctly, 5 minutes to make sure all the paperwork was signed, $50 and 20 minutes to have replaced the front brake pads to make it fall in line with the “certified” status they labeled it. It was almost like everyone besides the sales people did the bare minimum, I wouldn’t return to this dealership. More
