Fortunately my concerns were taken seriously and my knowledge about cars wasn’t made light of. My car had a serious brake problem. It was fixed. Thanks. knowledge about cars wasn’t made light of. My car had a serious brake problem. It was fixed. Thanks. More
Our experience was not good. The lack of communication was beyond frustrating and the hoops we had to jump through to get answers was frustrating at best. I finally quit calling The lack of communication was beyond frustrating and the hoops we had to jump through to get answers was frustrating at best. I finally quit calling and just started showing up in order to get answers. The blame shifting was ridiculous as well I would speak with one person only to be told it was in the hands of another and so on down the line. Most of the information we did receive was from the technician who knew my daughter. We had the car for 2 weeks before check engine lights were on and the car was not running after 2 1/2 months in the shop they said it was fixed. Only the warranty paper work showed that it had meatal shavings through out the motor when questioned about this they stated that it was for a paper trail for the extended warranty. However after only having it back for 3 days the engine blew up leaving my 19 year old daughter stranded on the side of the road one night. I insisted at that point that we take it to a Subaru dealership and it was confirmed that the motor was blown and there were meatal shavings through out from a cam shaft being over tightened. Roughly 5 months later we did receive the car back from Subaru and John Hinderer did pay the 12,000.00$ for new motor and transmission. We are grateful that they did take responsibility but again the communication was terrible and I feel that if I was not in their face about this vehicle we would have a very different ending. Also I feel that if your technician are not trained to work on a specific vehicle take it to an expert and them do the work or rain tour technicians. It would have been a lot cheaper than a 12000.00 mistake. More
