I have had my Camry serviced there for 5 years. Nick in service has taken care of me everytime and have never had a problem that was not corrected in a professional manner. After such experience I decided service has taken care of me everytime and have never had a problem that was not corrected in a professional manner. After such experience I decided to purchase a new Highlander. Originally wanted to look at the Hybrid version but after doing a cost analysis vs miles to be driven the pay back was longer than the life of the vehicle. I then decided on the Limited Highlander. They did not have one in stock but got one within a week. Had it ready to deliver on the day promised and even filled it with gas. Jonathan did a fine job and Shane was a great support for the closing. Johnnie in finance was very detailed, clear with the explanations, and gave us numerous options. I thought the whole experience was rather professional. It looks like the only people that rate on this website are the unhappy ones... More
I purchased a used truck that later broke down within the month. They gave me one key to the vehicle and never gave the other after several attempts to get it myself. I asked for new tires on the vehicle and month. They gave me one key to the vehicle and never gave the other after several attempts to get it myself. I asked for new tires on the vehicle and they said that it's not included in the sale. More
I recently bought my wife a 2008 Nissan rogue at John Harvey Toyota. Not only was the staff friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating, but they really made us feel like they wated to earn our business. T Harvey Toyota. Not only was the staff friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating, but they really made us feel like they wated to earn our business. They worked with us on financing options, as well as price of the vehicle. I would highly recommend this dealership, and look forward to doing business with them in the future! More
This is by far the worst Toyota dealership I have ever visited in 3 different states (Louisiana, Maryland and California)having owned a new Toyota for more than 6 years. first was my experience with the visited in 3 different states (Louisiana, Maryland and California)having owned a new Toyota for more than 6 years. first was my experience with the service department on 2 different occasions: once or alignment where they really did not change anything and in fact the rotated tires to rotate counter to what they supposed to (as per manufacturer) to make the car look more stable... never fixed the alignment issue and ended up taking the car to another dealer. second: again for scheduled maintenance this dealership advertised something and charged me much higher rate than any other Toyota dealership in the area (an example they wanted $360 for spark plugs where other Toyota dealerships charge $180). Worst of all that after they changed the timing belts the car started making noise that was not present before (total cost for a scheduled maintenance was $1000 and I regret taking this car to them for the second time) Third experience is when this car was totaled after an accident and I wanted to buy a new one. Unfortunately in Shreveport area options are limited and they had the car I wanted. I searched for the car price online and called Dallas area as well. Bottomline they wanted sticker price (which no one pays) and did not want to come down. I offered $1000 above Dallas offer for the exact same car. They would not take it. ended up driving to Dallas and buying the car I wanted... again for the third time I regret going there and wasting my time ... More
I purchased a 2005 Saturn Ion on Feb. 12, 2012 for my grandaughter. I needed to have it re-inspected in Texas in order to change the registration to her home of record. Immediately after purchasing the grandaughter. I needed to have it re-inspected in Texas in order to change the registration to her home of record. Immediately after purchasing the vehicle I drove it to my mechanic in Texas for that inspection. The vehicle would not pass inspection in Texas due to a malfunctioning left front turn signal. I immediately informed John Harvey Toyota of the situation. There immediate response to me was dismissive, disrespectful, and uncompromising. I had purchased a Used Vehicle "As Is" and it was now "my problem, not their's". The repair which I will have done in Texas and for which I will have to pay about $500.00 involves replacing the "Body Control Module". I understand the "letter of the law" as it relates to an "As Is" purchase, but the reason I went to a Dealership that proports to be a "customer service friendly and attentive" business was so that I might be treated with some modicum of respect in the event that an unforseen after sale difficulty presented itself. I though that rather than the "letter of the contract" they might apply some "common sense" in the resolution of a problen so soon after the close of the sale. I am not so mad at the Dealership as I am mad at myself for being so stupid and for assuming that "John Harvey Toyota in Bossier City, LA." was anything more than a "fly by night" car broker with no sense of the importance of proper customer respect. Sure! I was wrong for trusting them....wrong for assuming they are anything other than the stereotypical consummer preditor car dealer. I won't make the same mistake again, and I hope that you do not either. More
I had an alignment done, and 2 seat-belts replaced. They charged me $19 for hazardous materials disposal when they didn't use any for either job. Additionally, they did not re-install the the interior bo charged me $19 for hazardous materials disposal when they didn't use any for either job. Additionally, they did not re-install the the interior body panels or carpet correctly. One of the body panels was hanging open and the carpet was sticking out from under the side panels. Lastly, they got grease on the interior and spilled a water bottle on the carpet, saturating it through. I expect much more when I pay someone almost $800 for such simple work. At a minimum, at least finish the job before calling me to tell me it's ready for pick-up. More
