I was determined that I would not leave until I got a winter vehicle with great gas mileage and in my price range. I’m always buying cars and I’ve never met such a GREAT salesman like Darwin Cunningham. He is very nice, not pushy at all and very friendly. Overall I’ve had the best experience with Joe Machens VW than I ever have. I won’t go anywhere else! More

We told him exactly what we wanted and it was there at the dealership waiting for us - cleaned and with a full tank of gas. Frustrated over inspection findings We bought a vehicle that came with a 120 point inspection which was conducted by Joe Machens VW. Two weeks after our purchase the check engine light is on and the engine smells of oil so we took it to the mechanic at Joe Machens VW. The mechanic found several problems and asked us if anyone had explained to us that we would have to pay 50% of the fees. (The estimated total cost of repairs was between $800-1,000, not to mention that these "problems" should have kept the vehicle from passing inspection in the first place.) We had been told my our salesman that the dealership provided a 30 day/3,000 mile warranty on ALL of their vehicles, so we called customer service to find out why they were now saying 50/50. Our salesman said it was a "misunderstanding on his part", that they do have a warranty if they are under so many miles, but that our vehicle didn't fit that description, so we asked to talk to his manager. We found out the salesman had lied about the maintenance plan/warranty, yet the higher management offered no solution. We plan to take the vehicle to the Highway Patrol Inspection Station to see if they find any other flaws in the original inspection. In the meantime we have found another mechanic who can fix our issues for $200-300....talk about a mark up on prices at the dealership!!!!! WE VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS......we were treated so well as they tried to swoon us with their sales pitch but as soon as we bought our vehicle we weren't their concern anymore. Buyer beware! More

I never felt pressured or pushed. When I was ready to trade in 2014 I returned to Darwin, got a fair deal and purchased my third used vehicle from him. I have never had any problems after the sale but know if I did Darwin would help me. More

I am a young woman wanting to start a family in the near future looking for a safe, affordable, and spacious car to accommodate car seats and a 6'3" man is what lead me to the V.W. dealership parking lot. The salesman, Michael Helton, was so helpful to listen to what I needed and could afford etc. He managed to take my objectives I spoke about with him, grab a key, and pull up the brand new 2015 Passat to the front door that I drove home in that very same night! The car literally had everything I was expecting except the blind-spot helpers on the side mirrors, which he then called a third party to have the sticker type little mirrors delivered right then and there to be attached for me with no extra cost. The General Manager, Matt Smiley, as well as Josh Calvert in the parts department, all graciously talked to me making sure I knew exactly what I was getting with this deal and that I was satisfied. Going to the gas station only about once a month and having the oil changed after 10,000 miles instead of 4,000 just meant more and more savings. Having the knowledge from everyone was so helpful! Mike knew I was making a great decision and I am very pleased and glad I worked with him. Thank you! More

I was looking for something to give me better gas mileage for driving back and forth for work on my 40 minute commute. I didnt have much to work with in my budget as we already have payments on our other "family vehicle". I expected the salesman to be pushy, dishonest, and after thier bottom dollar. Instead, i was greeted by Micheal Helton, who treated me with respect and dignity, and clearly was looking out for my best interest. He found me a 2009 Toyota Rav 4 right in my price range (actually way better), with low mileage, and was in impressive interior and exterior condition. He let me test drive it over night, and called me the next day to see how i liked it. Micheal was very professional with all of the paperwork and business aspect of buying a car, and kept me comfortable by offering me any refreshments the establishment had to offer, and great conversation. Micheal has been very helpful even after the sale by helping me get an extra set of keys and making sure i am in love with the vehicle he sold me. He clearly cares about the clients he works with.
