I also have a Chevrolet that I get serviced at a Chevrolet dealership and getting my vehicle washed isn’t something that happens on my Chevrolet. More

Emergency repair of VW Jetta cooling system Recently on a cross country trip my daughter was on our VW Jetta's Check Engine light came on followed by the overheating light. She went to the near Recently on a cross country trip my daughter was on our VW Jetta's Check Engine light came on followed by the overheating light. She went to the nearest VW dealer in southern Illinois who first filled the coolant reservoir and sent us her on her way. However, within 10 minutes the lights came back on and steam was coming out of the engine compartment. She added water and drove back to that dealer. The said a hose blew and lost our coolant, and said they could get to it the next week. She left the car there and we got the car back after they replaced a coolant hose and refilled the radiator 10 days later. We picked ups the car from the IL dealer on a Saturday and I began the drive back to TX, I got ~ 40 miles away and the check engine light came back on and soon thereafter the overheat light came on. I pulled over called the IL dealer with little help So I decided to try to get it to the dealer in Columbia MO where my son lived. My son contacted them and Tom at Machens promptly called me back and told me they would do their best to get it fixed if I could get it to them. They were extremely helpful over the phone though they had not collected a penny form me. SoI cooled it off added more DI water, and got it limped in to Joe Machens ~ 40 miles away just as the Service dept was closing on Sat. I talked again with Tom and Joe. They diagnosed the car on Monday determined the real cause of the prpblem, ordered the parts, repaired it promptly and effectively. I picked it up Wednesday afternoon. Tom and Joe were phenomenally helpful though I don't live there and will likely (and hopefully) never need their services again. I cannot say enough positive about the service and help I received there.They went above and beyond the call and I am extremely grateful for their help and service. I would highly recommend this dealership for service! More
