It all went flawless, Raphael had a co-worker pick me up a the airport. They were all very friendly and professional. I contacted four dealerships by e-mail stating that I was ready to buy a new Toyota Tacoma and gave them the model and style I wanted to buy. Three of the dealerships are in Illinois: Quincy, Springfield and ready to buy a new Toyota Tacoma and gave them the model and style I wanted to buy. Three of the dealerships are in Illinois: Quincy, Springfield and Macomb and the last being Joe Machens in Columbia, Missouri. The dealerships in Quincy and Springfield gave me a courtesy reply back and that was it. The salesman in Macomb said to call him back after I get the best deal on the truck and he would match it and find what I wanted. What!? So I guess he wanted me and the other dealers to do the work then he would get the sale. Now remember, I told each dealer I was certainly going to buy a vehicle. But their was surely a bright spot in the chore to buy a new vehicle. That bright spot came by the name of Rafael Romero of Joe Machens Toyota in Columbia, Missouri. He was the most competent and hard working salesman I've had the pleasure to do business with in a long time. He spent much time with me via e-mail and phone concerning the locating of a vehicle for me and setting up the final preps for us to make our over 2 hour drive to Columbia, MO. to check out the vehicle he found for us. Needless to say we weren't disappointed. The new Toyota Tacoma was perfect, just what we wanted and it was detailed out with a full tank of gas. Rafael had seen to it that everything was ready before we arrived and because of that, the time spent with Frank in their finance department was the least time I've ever spent in a dealership buying a new vehicle. ...and I've bought a few vehicles in my 38 years of being a licensed driver. I went to Rafael just planning on test driving some used Toyota's to see if I liked them. I left with a new Toyota with an awesome deal! He was very friendly and personable. Not too often do you come across a car dealer who will go completely out of his way to make sure you leave with a car that is perfect for you and not have to pay more than your budgeted amount.
