The greatest vehicle buying experience EVER! I wanted to express my complete satisfaction in my recent Ford F150 purchase at Machens Ford in Columbia. Vehicle replacement has always seemed to be a pain in the rear, with incessant back and forth haggling to make a deal that seems way out of reach. Not here, no sir. I was pleasantly greeted by phone and in person by one of their knowledgeable sales team member, Mack McKinney. I told him by phone what I was interested in, what my trade looked like and met up with him later in the day. He toured me all around the sales lot, but we didn't have the exact model in the year I was looking for. I thought I was done, HECK NO! Mack put together a deal for me in the exact model I was looking for, but in a year NEWER and in my budget! Mack didn't fool around with dealing, HE DIDN'T HAVE TO!! He gave me a deal on this new Ford that was better than I could have possibly expected. After a 'handshake on the deal', Mack then acquainted my with his Finance expert, Russ Partidge. Russ walked me through the finance options available, pointed out some factory incentives available to me, and put together a plan that met my budget and didn't cause me any anxiety doing so. All in all, this was the best car buying experience I've ever had, and hope to become acquainted with the fine dealership's service team to care for my day to day maintenance needs. These guys make car buying a piece of cake, THANKS SO MUCH! More

Perfect Purchase! Was in the market for a new Lincoln MKS for my wife who is currently deployed. I checked my local dealerships but opted for the Joe Machens in Columbia which was 134 miles away. Nathan Hart had helped the wife and I find a reasonable used car for my son a few months back and Nathan did a great job for a sale that could not have given him much of anything in return but satisfaction of a job well done. He went above and beyond then and he did so on this sale as well. Where to start... I told him what I wanted and he found it. He did not try to talk me into something on the lot like the local dealerships did, he did not try to pressure a sale, change a color, nothing. He listened, and did everything in his power to get EXACTLY what I asked for which was EXACTLY what the wife wanted. All this results in me being SUPERMAN in her eyes. She now has a new 2014 Lincoln MKS sitting in the garage waiting for her once she returns from the Middle East which is just Days away. Now to the details... Again we got the 2014 MKS with the exact options we wanted. I gained $1,000.00 on my existing trade in of a 2010 MKS, Todd Marple in the finance department understood I was pre-approved for my loan however he was able to lower my % rate by a full 2%. That saved me over 100$ a month, Todd Also dropped $1,000 off my extended warranty due to my military affiliation. When you go to a dealer and they prevent you from paying money that you don't need to that yields them no benefit, it just shows they care about their customers. I can't explain how satisfied I am with this purchase adequately, but I can say it with actions. I will be buying my new Boss Mustang from these guys for sure. I won't have to ask where I can save $ or if I am getting the best deal. I know it will be guaranteed!!! These are the kind of people I am happy to serve for, true Americans. More

Sold a known lemon car with no resolve to problem Car we purchased was a lemon -- still is -- been in the shop now three weeks. Buy elsewhere. We were told it was gone through by their (Machens) machanics and "there were no issues with this car." Well it has issues -- so bad that the dealership I took it to (not Machens) has called in Ford engineers from Michigan trying to fix it. My husband worked with the salesman, however I purchased the car (in my name and my name on the title and the loan -- the salesman never notified me it was a lemon. In fact, I could not even get him to return my calls. Almost didn't get the loan done because no one would call the lending agency. Made six phone calls to get someone to call the lending institution. I thought we were past "not dealing with women", but not at this dealership. Only the finance manager was honest with me and said "someone should have told you about all the problems this car had." Well, Machens is big and doesn't care -- got another car sold -- that's all they care about -- well, you won't see me back. I'm trying to get Ford to take this car back and if so, I'll buy from some other Ford dealer. More
