Great work by body shop & completed quicker than expected I had gotten a rock chip on the hood of my new Escape. The body shop team took care of it and you can't even tell it was there; the paint is a perfect I had gotten a rock chip on the hood of my new Escape. The cost was significantly cheaper than the 2 other estimates I'd gotten (I chose not to turn this into insurance since the cost to fix was lower than my deductible). Plus I needed "The Works" oil change and 15,000 mile maintenance done and Mike in the body shop worked with Doug in the service department to see that it was all done in one trip. And as always the gal at the payment window is super friendly, always checks to see if we have rewards points and makes it a pleasant experience (even though it may not be painless on the wallet!) Took 5 days and a bill of $360 to find a ROCK! This was my second time in for this problem. I took my service advisor on a test drive so he could hear the noise which was a thump in the rear suspen This was my second time in for this problem. I took my service advisor on a test drive so he could hear the noise which was a thump in the rear suspension as the car drove over a dip. He confirmed hearing the noise. At the end of the first day I called to check onthe car and was informed they couldn’t find the noise so I needed to find other transportation home. I live out of town. I have a premium extended warranty on this vehicle and asked if it paid for a rental. I was informed that it did. I asked my service advisor to keep me informed on the progress. I picked up the rental car and did not hear from them for a day or 2. The weekend went by and I received a call on Monday afternoon that they had located and fixed the problem. It was a rock lodged in the suspension. They had the car for about 5 days. The bill was $360. FOR A ROCK!!! I came in pick up my car and talked with the service manager. Furthermore I was told that the technician who worked on the car was asked how much to bill me! Now this guy is actually low man on the totem pole. I would think management would be in on such a high cost of the removal of a ROCK. I paid it under deress to get my car back. Once in the car I was further upset as my car smelled like diesel fuel and my steering wheel was greasy and oily to the point I used a wet wipe to clean it. My brand new tan car mats I had just purchased were black with oil or grease so I assume no temporary car mats were put down prior to working on the car. Both front mats were soiled. have cleaned these mats and there are still marks. My problem with this entire situation is lack of communication while working on the car, a disregard for the customer’s property and an outrageous price for the removal of a ROCK. If I were a big business person or had political pull I am sure the ROCK would have been taken care of at no charge. I believe that service has really declined since Joe Machens has purchased More

Service adviser Ron Inman came to me while I was waiting and pointed out that rear pads still had plenty of life in them and no need to replace at this time. Saved me about $180.00. Very impressed with his honesty. More
