poor communication So, this service center has horrible communication skills. I completed my registration and appointment online since I bought my car at Joe Machens. Bu So, this service center has horrible communication skills. I completed my registration and appointment online since I bought my car at Joe Machens. But, here is my issues to why I wont be returning. 1- I told them when I dropped it off that I would like to be picked up from work at 5. But, if they got it done before noon to let me know and I could get a ride from a coworker to Joe Machens. I received a call around 12:15 saying they had just completed my car, at this time I could not find a coworker to take me over. I told them I would need to be picked up from work. the guy said that will be fine and what time? I told him I get off work at 5:00pm I would be in the parking lot by 5:05pm. He said he would let the shuttle know. Mind you I took the shuttle to work that morning. shuttle driver was great and super nice. He asked me if I would need picked up and I told him they said I wouldn't but if I did they would let him know. He said alright. Well skip to 5pm. At 5:15 I was still sitting there waiting for a shuttle. I call service and the cashier called the shuttle. well apparently whoever I spoke to at 12:15 never told them I needed to be picked up. So, therefore I finally was picked up around 5:22. we got to Joe Machens around 5:28 (closing is 5:30) the nice cashier was very apologetic. When paying my bill was way higher than anticipated for an oil change. She said to call in the next day and speak with my service man. 2- I called in and spoke with my guy. He said they fixed some "body work" that was not covered on my warranty. Well, first off I never told them I wanted it fix. I asked them to see how to fix it.. my exact words on the registration .. " Repair Services: Trim or Moulding Diagnosis - silver lining over back passenger door has rust would like to see how to fix it. back passenger door seal is falling off." When they called me at lunch they never told me they fixed it. never called to speak to me about the price to fix these things. They never confirmed I even wanted these items fixed. When I dropped it off I told John I would like them to look at these two things. he said hmm okay shouldn't be an issue. I have a certified pre-owned edge so it has some warranty's and yes, I should know what all my warranty's cover, but lets be real who actual knows EVERYTHING they cover. The service department could of called to verify I wanted to pay the prices and everything. So, because I will not be returning to their service department (my buying experience in Jan 18 was awesome still thumbs up Jamie and Brad) I have a $20 gift certificate if someone would like it. I dealt with John, as he was my "advisor". I am unsure who called me at the noon phone call. More
