Steve Joplin was very attentive and provided detailed explanations on the repairs that I needed on my 2015 Ford Edge. Due to reasons beyond his control, my repairs could not be completed during the initial visit. In the original repair visit the Ford replacement part, a rear shock, was delayed due to immediate part availability. I was able to leave my vehicle a couple of extra days in order to have the service done upon the part's arrival. During this repair appointment for the shock replacement, an additional problem was identified with the rear wheel hubs. This repair will be delayed several weeks due to model change in the hubs and their availability. To me, this is not a Joe Machens problem, this is a Ford Motor Company problem. I have to assume these delays are due to Lean manufacturing practices and inventory management decisions by Ford. It should not take weeks to get a replacement part for a vehicle of this age. More

Door handle repair and rear tail lamp assembly replacement. Neither the door handle nor the tail light assembly were under warranty and I would have thought they would be since there was no damage or abuse to e Neither the door handle nor the tail light assembly were under warranty and I would have thought they would be since there was no damage or abuse to either. You buy a nice car so things don't fall apart quickly and if they do you would think the corporation or dealership would stand behind the product. Replacement part for tail assembly was in stock if we chose new but a used one was available if desired. Chose to go that route so part had to be ordered. Had pick car up to get home and take back the next day. Next day dropped car off but when the part got there it was not the right one. Had to pick up the car again to drive home. Dropped car off again for a third time and repair was made. It took three trips to the dealership to get the repairs made. Parts and labor were around $600 for a couple of things I feel should have been covered by warranty for quality vehicles. More
