The employees at Acura of Mobile were incredibly helpful and helped me be able to drive home in a vehicle with which I was incredibly happy. As someone relatively new to the work force, my credit was not we and helped me be able to drive home in a vehicle with which I was incredibly happy. As someone relatively new to the work force, my credit was not well established, but they found a way for me to get financed. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and welcoming. Both Patrick Norton and Shannon Reeves were honest and upfront about the entire buying experience, which is something I greatly appreciate. They also didn't try to "suck up" to me because I was a potential buyer; acting that way always comes across as being fake, and I like that they weren't like that. They made me feel comfortable enough for me to ask questions, because I know I would get straightforward and truthful responses. Patrick has since e-mailed me a few times asking if there was anything else he could do, even though I've already taken the vehicle home. Shannon gave me a number to use in case of an emergency (e.g., should I get pulled over on the drive back to Texas for not having a tag) and made me feel as though she would have my back should I run into a pickle. I also interacted briefly with Crystal Wells, the Internet Manager. She was the one who was my point-of-contact before I visited the dealership -- she set up my appointment to test drive, which was when I really fell in love with the vehicle. She made a point of meeting me (I was finalizing the details of the purchase when this happened), even though I did not interact with her once I went to the dealership. This was my first car-buying experience, and I'd say overall it was an incredibly positive one. I would recommend the folks at Acura of Mobile to anyone interested in having a great experience while purchasing an incredible vehicle. More
We'd been running wide open because of Christmas and having just gotten home from a 7 month long trip, so we were feeling very harried and tired. Joe Bullard's Acura of Mobile dealership provided us with a pleasant, pressure-free atmosphere, which sets them apart from so many others in the area. John McBryde, our salesman, was very helpful and knowledgeable, which is so crucial in a new car buying experience. The Acura MDX that we bought had been totally revamped for 2014 and John had it down! My wife and I, having both retired from sales, had a profound appreciation for having had a salesman of John's caliber. His professionalism and determination to put a deal together very much impressed us. To put it bluntly, my wife and I are difficult people to negotiate with, but John, and his manager Robert, stuck it out late on a Saturday night. They were tired and probably ready to go home, but they did what they had to do, and they did it without giving their car away. We went car shopping without any intention to buy that day but they brought us around. I felt like I was treated very fairly on the trade, as well as the new car. They were both super friendly, eager to make us happy and very pleasant to deal with. In a couple of years, when we're ready to "deal" again, we'll be back and probably dealing with John in management and Robert running the show. Thanks for everything guys. Oh, we love the car too! The MDX puts the Cadillac SRX, Yukon/Tahoe, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave to shame! No comparison. And though the MDX is in the luxury class, we didn't buy the Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, et al , because we didn't want to spend over $50k. Delivery of the vehicle was excellent with Patrick taking all the time needed to explain the car and its capabilities. After spending several weeks researching cars, I settled on two: the Toyota Avalon and the Acura TL. I had already test driven the Avalon and gotten a price from a dealership. I made an appointment to test drive an Acura TL at Acura of Mobile. We were late getting to our appointment with John McBryde. We apologized for our tardiness and he assured us it was not a problem. The specific car we wanted to drive was waiting for us. John took a few minutes and explained some of the driving features to us. He told us that he wanted us to feel comfortable when we drove the TL and that he liked to just sit in the back seat and be quiet while customers test drive. We drove the TL and loved it. We went inside the dealership with John and told him the price we wanted to pay for the car (we had done quite a bit of internet research). He did not give us any cheesy salesman remarks or feign any indignation that we were offering too low of a price. He simply said, "Okay. Let me talk to my manager." he was back within minutes and said his manager would accept our price. We told John that we need to drive the Avalon once more just to ensure we were making the right decision. He said that was fine and parked the TL behind the dealership just to make sure it wouldn't be sold while we were gone. After driving the Acura once more, we settled on the TL. We called John and told him were coming back to purchaser it. It was being detailed when we arrived. The paperwork process was simple and we walked out to take ownership of our new TL. John spent several minutes explaining some of the technical features; he even set up the bluetooth and imported my phone contacts for me! John also went back over the car making sure that the windows were spotless. He noted that the gas tank was only 3/4 full, so he had us follow him to a gas station so he could fill it up. This Acura purchase was the most pleasant dealership experience I have ever had, and John was just awesome. More
