I drove all the way from Boise Idaho to purchase a Cameo ZL1 that I saw on car gurus I was hesitant on purchasing a used ZL1 not knowing how the previous owners drove it. However this one had such low miles ZL1 that I saw on car gurus I was hesitant on purchasing a used ZL1 not knowing how the previous owners drove it. However this one had such low miles and the first words in the car guru add said in all caps "LIFETIME ENGINE WARRANTY!" this gave me the confidence that even if all the miles were track miles I would be covered and thought I could risk it. The second day of our trip a finance associate called me to discuss the extended warranty options. I said that I wasn't interested since the engine has a lifetime warranty. He informed me that the warranty company doesn't cover anything over 500 horsepower. This was disappointing but felt that face to face we could negotiate something comparable. Well...I should have turned back around and headed home, but instead I met your counter manager, Steve, I believe was his name. He was arrogant and smugly said there is always a disclosure on the ads about any mis-information. Well this wasn't a simple things like it didn't have a back up camera. This was something that lead the description of the car in all caps. I find it difficult to believe that no one caught this error. Ultimately he gave us $500 of the purchase price to go towards the 3 year extended warranty. He said it was a better warranty... however even though it may cover more components there is a HUGE difference in a lifetime and 3 years. Although I am happy with the car, I am completely disappointed with his customer service abilities. If it hadn't been that I drove so far, had put so much money into the trip and my fiancee said I should get it, I would have headed home without it just because of his attitude. But for him, all the other staff members were pleasant to deal with. Bill was kind enough to answer many questions over the phone and made sure that the car was wrapped and ready for the long trailer ride home. This was a car that I had wanted for years and I wish I could say that purchasing it was a happy memory and brought a smile to my face. However, everytime I think of it the only thing I remember is an arrogant manager that still make my blood pressure rise. More
