Went there to trade in my truck for a newer truck. The offer they gave me was $3,000 less than other five dealerships. I told them about their commercial they're running $1,000 more than any dealershi The offer they gave me was $3,000 less than other five dealerships. I told them about their commercial they're running $1,000 more than any dealership in Western New York. I was told it doesn't work like that. After finding out they wouldn't give me the same amount or $1,000 more than the other dealerships I got my $500 back and left. I've contacted the bars association I've received a lawyer and I'm going to civilly sue them for false advertisement they're going to know my name. I wouldn't recommend Joe Basil to anybody in Western New York and they should be out of business as far as I'm concerned. Let's see how they're going to like me now.... More

Bought a car from the dealership, nothing but problems. Been to the service department many times for different reasons. Just dropped the car off at 8am for a schedule appt with details on what needs to be fixed under warranty... got a call at the end of the day that they did not get anything done. Want to keep my truck overnight but I need it for work the next stay. Same old song and dance. More

One star is being generous especially to salesman Nick Kramer. Sold my daughter a 2020 GMC Acadia. Tire sensor light came on immediately, she called SEVERAL times only to get nowhere. Called and spoke to Nick, Nick did NOTHING to help her. Brakes went bad, she had a horrible squeak and 4 BALD tires. She had it since March of 2023, as of yesterday 06/02/23 she took it to another FANTASTIC dealership, traded it in on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the first thing she was told was " WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SELL THIS CAR WITH THOSE TIRES" she took a HUGE hit on the trade in. They can not sell it but that didn't bother Nick Kramer, he sold it to her without batting an eye. My daughter and her step mom were treated poorly and that is beyond unacceptable. They had an awesome trade in worth $$$$$ put cash down on top of that and were still treated like 2 woman that didn't belong there. The dealership wanted the trade in so that is the only reason they were decent on some of the process. The Acadia was sent back in to detailing after stepmom inspected it and still came out with food crumbs, food found under the drivers seat . Steer CLEAR of this dealership and especially NICK KRAMER!!!! The dealership yesterday , I went with my daughter and could not be happier with our experience from A-Z !!! More

Brake Squeal is not normal and expected with the right choice of parts. Update 2: Craig Colby reached out and made things right. Basil VW installed the OEM rotors and aftermarket powerstop z23 pads per choice of parts. Update 2: Craig Colby reached out and made things right. Ultimately these parts were not much more expensive than their original choice of Raybestos. Raised review to three stars and will now recommend with the caveat being that escalation was necessary to reach a fair resolution. Update: Basil Leadership has been in contact in response and a potential resolution has been established to install better quality materials (OEM rotors & better quality aftermarket pads) at no cost to me. Hopefully this resolves the issue and we can move on. Bought a used car (2019 w/29k miles), part of the deal was new front brakes, pads and rotors. Took delivery. Reported squeal from front brakes with light braking the very next day. Gave it time to see if it goes away. Gave it 1 week and around 1k miles, reported issue was continuing to Tom with the service dept and had an appt scheduled for 1 week later. Calipers were serviced, car was picked up and issue was clearly still present 2 blocks down the road. Called service and reported issue still present where Tom proceeded to remind me that I "bought a used car, the brakes are new and function safely" regardless of the ridiculous noise they produce at every stop light, stop sign, and traffic jam, and that "perhaps I should deal with the noise, run them for a while and then replace them again after they wear out with the OEM parts of my choosing". Really Nice... Used car manager Craig was contacted and stands by the Service Depts position and no further discussion would be had. More
