It took over 2 weeks to get an appointment, dropped it off the night before, so I was not happy when they called me to tell me they had just brought it in the shop at 4:30 in the afternoon. They did suppl off the night before, so I was not happy when they called me to tell me they had just brought it in the shop at 4:30 in the afternoon. They did supply me with a loaner and good thing because it took three more days to figure out what was wrong and to get a part. Then the same day I picked it up as I was driving home on transit road I hit a bump and one of the things I took it in for, loose mud flap was loose again. This necessitated another trip back to the dealer the next day. They did fix it right away while I waited, but it should not have happened at all if some one was doing their job. I can't say I had a great experience with this service visit. More
I was quite suprised by some of the reviews posted here. I don't own a Corvette-maybe someday-but my sales reps certainly didnt lie to me. I bought a G6 last summer (our second Basil vehicle) and really love my car. I get Red Carpet service-done right and no hassle-from the "Green Team". Have your car worked on elsewhere and you'll realize the service department is outstanding-the mechanics are knowledgeable, polite and treat everyone's vehicle the same whether it cost $10k or $50k. Plus, Basil has early and late hours to accomodate my schedule with wi-fi in the showroom so I can get some work done while I wait. My car comes back washed and ready to go; usually in less than an hour. You can buy a car or truck anyplace you choose, but I highly recommend checking with Joe Basil Chevrolet before you are disappointed elsewhere. More
I brought my vehicle in for an inspection. The service was great, and the employees were friendly. Before test driving the 2010 HHR, the right rear tire was low. Dealership put air in tire and I test drove it. Two days later I decided to purchase vehicle. Tire was low again. They were going to `check' it. low. Dealership put air in tire and I test drove it. Two days later I decided to purchase vehicle. Tire was low again. They were going to `check' it. When I went to pick up car, the paperwork was incorrect so I had to wait until they figured it out. The carrier net they promised to get me was not there and I was told sorry, but I could purchase one. I told them I was promised it and they better find me one or they could call off the deal. They got me one which I had to go pick up a week later. I had undercoating and leather preserving done. There was black undercoating oversprayed onto the car (it is white) When I pointed it out, the salesman acted like I was asking them for the world and proceeded to ignored my observation. It was only after someone else pointed it out that they cleaned it. gGetting into my new to me vehicle, the tire was low AGAIN. They filled it and I was told to make a service appointment to have it looked at. (they later discovered that there was wood splinters in it). I drove home without plates, they forgot to transfer them over. The salesman delivered them and put them on. Two weeks later I received a letter in the mail stating they had undercharged me and I owed them another $500 something. They gave me 6 free oil change coupons for the hastle. I have never seen such a crazy mixed up Mickey Mouse operation. Monday I used my first coupon and pointed out that I was still having a problem with air leaking from they tire. They `checked it' and I was told they could reseal it around the rim but it will cost me $19 or $29....what ever the charge. When I need an oil change, I will go there with my coupons. If I need anything else, I will go elsewhere. Their `service' is non-existant. By they way, my husband just bought a truck from them. They quoted him $750 to paint the cap. When he went to get it, they hadn't touched it because they decided it would not fit on his new truck. It did. He got it painted somewhere else. He also received a notice that they had not charged him enough and that he owed them $54 and he could pay it when he came in topick up the registration, the registration they were going to mail to him until they decided to hold it hostage for another one of their mathmatical errors. NEVER AGAIN will I purchase from them and I would NOT RECCOMMEND THEM ! More
The service I received at Joe Basil's Chevrolet earlier this month was great. I was involved in a MVA that was not my fault. The driver of the other cars Insurance Company was responsible for my damage a this month was great. I was involved in a MVA that was not my fault. The driver of the other cars Insurance Company was responsible for my damage and Joe Basils was on there "list". My vehicle was purchased at another dealer and all my service work has been done there for the last two years. The Insurance company informed me that they would guarantee the work that was done at Basils. I'm glad I did take the Collision work to Basils. It went so smooth. I think I've found a new dealership :) More
If I could give a negative rating I would. Attempted to purchase a car today after talking to the worst salesman I've ever met 5 different times. First two times we spoke, gave me one price, then when I we purchase a car today after talking to the worst salesman I've ever met 5 different times. First two times we spoke, gave me one price, then when I went in to sign the paper work, suddenly it was $20 more a month. When I called to say I was coming in to finish the deal, the salesman had a stroke of amnesia and claimed he didn't remember me telling him the state of my trade in and that my payment would be $60 more a month! Then when I asked for my down payment back, they said they had already deposited the check, which is illegal since I never finished the deal! I have never had to deal with a scummier person in my entire life. I will never be going back. More

By far the worst dealership in the greater Buffalo area. The saleman lied and told me an Aveo was an American car. The car is totally Korean, built in Korea. After I purchased it under false pretenses, they The saleman lied and told me an Aveo was an American car. The car is totally Korean, built in Korea. After I purchased it under false pretenses, they told me they would give me my money back for another car on their lot. Little did I know they would make me pay full price for the car. I presented a GM code to have the full price reduced by $600, and the sales manager basically told me to get off. He said the company was losing money by taking the car back. Fat chance. GM gave a $1500 off incentive. I argued with the company for nearly a half hour and was told to take the dull price car or keep the junk I was lied into buying. I paid full price and will never go back there again. I sincerely hope you do not. In fact, stay away from all GM vehicles in general. I called the customer service number to detail my experience with the car company, and GM basically told me that it was not their problem and they would not do anything about it. I knew I should have purchased a KIA. At least I know that comes from Korea. Chevrolet, an American Revolution? Most of their cars come from different countries. And Joe Basil Chevrolet, just great deals? They only people making out on "deals" are the people working at Joe Basil Chevrolet. Stay away from this company like the plague. You will be sorry. More
