My appointment was 8:am and as soon as I pulled in I was taken care of. The staff was efficent in taking my information and Doug the service manager went the extra mile to take care of my problem. They called me with an update and estimated time that they would be done. They called again to say the job was done. When I picked up my car, it had been washed and my inside windshield was cleaned. The issues I've had with this dealer are service related. I used Joe Basil's service department for 3 years after our 2009 Malibu purchase; here are some of the problems I had: • Two days after Joe Basil I used Joe Basil's service department for 3 years after our 2009 Malibu purchase; here are some of the problems I had: • Two days after Joe Basil serviced our 2 year old car for an oil change, I needed to tow the car back to them due to a Mass Air Flow sensor. This was a $200 repair that they attributed to a "spider" (but they admitted it could have been caused by debris entering the intake during and oil change) • One week after Joe Basil serviced our car for an oil change, I again needed to tow the car back to them for another Mass Air Flow sensor ($200). This time it was a “bug.” After I had paid for the repair they handed the car back and the check-engine light was still on! Somehow they didn’t even notice the light was on before they gave the car back – what’s the deal with that JB? They claimed they missed a Camshaft Position Sensor code. This repair was miraculously covered under warranty – whatever… • I had Joe Basel service the brakes. They replaced pads and serviced rotors on all four wheels. My first set of brakes lasted 57,000 miles. Joe Basil’s brake repair lasted ~10,000 miles. That’s it. Strike three, you’re out. I raised these issues to the Service Manager and he responded by email but did not follow through to discuss the issues in person (and he was well aware how upset we were). I would never use this dealer again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. More

After going to the dealership I got a fair deal on my trade-in as well as on the new car and I was driving away with my new car that afternoon. I feel that the experience was excellent from how I was treated to the quality of service. At no time did I feel pressured in any part of the sale and they really listen to the customer. More
